I've been hearing that some groups of people are not welcome at Free Republic anymore, but I didn't believe what I was hearing because that seems like the complete opposite of "Free". I've heard that supporters of Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and more are no longer welcome to post at this site.
This site is about uniting people together against the liberal onslaught that is ruining our country and we could use all the help we can get right?
Please correct me so I can correct others who have told me that this is the case. A new slogan is making it's rounds that 'the Free Republic has become anything but.'
I like Rudy too Just not in a dress or the white house
Banned? Well since RINOs can’t win a debate on ideas against true conservatives, maybe they’ve gone over to rinorepublic.com?
You just joined to preach to us.....bye bye
Barbra Streisand
But I don't run this place.
I smell republirat.

What took you so long to stir the pot?
Everyone is welcome but don’t expect to find a warm reception if you support big government initiatives and social liberalism. This is a conservative forum as Jim has emphasized several times. I personally am not offended having posts from who ever wishes provided they are willing to take the flack. The only people who get banned are those who break the rules. I’ve did that myself more than once and had to take a day off.
I also have gained a lot of respect for Huckabee and think he would make a great Senator or Congressman from Arkansas. I did not care about his furloughs of criminals and his talk about building a bridge to the middle and the idea that the Reagan Revolution was dead (though I believe that was more his campaign manager). Romney I don’t care for because he represents the typical unprincipled politician and until he proves that his change from a social and fiscal liberal is nothing more than a sham then I’ll always be critical of him as I believe any conservative should be. I always judge politicians based upon their deeds first and their words second.
I could go on but the best way to contribute here is to post and be willing to be debated and sometimes derided just as you would in any forum. This is not an air conditioned room where the questions and comments are pre-approved. If you can take the heat this is a good place to come up with good ideas and also make some good friends.
Everyone takes flack sometimes. A part of being an adult and not a child is that you accept that as part of the world of grownups.
“This site is about uniting people together against the liberal onslaught that is ruining our country”...
Hence, the RINO-free zone (Go to Moveon.org to show your unbidled support for McCain, Powell, Cornyn, Graham, Snow, Crist, Bono)
After looking at your other posts I see where you claimed to be a fan of Peggy Noonan. Go away and eat $h!+
LOL! Seems fair to me!
Yep if they can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen. I’ve even been banned temporarily but it was justified. I crossed a line and I knew it.
You can maybe make your stock here go up a few points if you tell us who and where, specifically, you have heard this garbage about Free Republic....something we can verify???
Gee where did Repub_licans2010 go?
Simma down now,
Reminds me of a kid with a a paint can, spray and run.
I agree, unless a special exception is made for some big time voice [like Drudge, etc.]. Or no new members can start threads unless they donate $10 ? $5 ?
To start threadsw immediately — $20.
To wait one month — $10.
To wait three months — $5.
To wait one year — nothing required.
Then trolls would have to help pay our way, or wait a full year before starting threads.
My 2 cents is that I don’t like it when these Guiliani, Romney, or whatever groups. I don’t think it makes one difference or another.
The people in charge of banning the people who post about what type of people get banned have been banned.
Go to the most famous one, the Rudy thread (that has never been killed) and see for your self.. everyone who was zotted crossed the line of personal attacks or other trollish behavior, while those who supported Rudy but remained civil are still around. They wheren’t zotted for supporting Rudy, they where zotted for how they acted when doing so.
