Letter not applicable today

Tampa, FL— Florida GOP Chairman Carole Jean Jordan informed Congresswoman Katherine Harris this afternoon that a previous letter unethically leaked in today’s news is not applicable to current party beliefs. Further, Jordan stated that the Florida Republican Party does not officially endorse or take positions in a primary.

Representative Harris commented “this confidential letter was old news and Chairman Carole Jean Jordan has stated repeatedly this letter is not applicable today; further, Chairman Jordan said that she never expressed concerns about my campaign but rather the race overall against the incumbent. With a primary in process, the state chairman, the state committeeman and state committeewoman cannot endorse a candidate but all have stated their personal support for me.”

The Harris campaign continues to move forward while Representative Harris fights to preserve the sanctity of marriage and traditional values, to lower taxes, to help small businesses acquire lower costing healthcare and to ensure that illegal immigrants are not granted amnesty. Bill Nelson has voted against each of these ideals.

“It is high time for dirty politics and unethical leaks to be set aside so that the issues that impact people’s daily lives can be addressed,” continued Congresswoman Harris.

Well, it appears that if you don't support Harris you get accused of being a troll.

Now don't you go getting all squishy on us now. No one is denying your right to come here and advocate for the candidate of your choice. If you reread the posts that caused all this anxiety you'll find that nowhere on this thread has anyone trashed to Florida GOP although I'd like to.

Faced with this reality you are now telling us we need to look at other threads for the proof you said was so self evident on this very thread. For someone who wants us to believe that you only want to debate the facts, your facts sure got misplaced on this one.

"Post the exact statment you say I made that 'trashed the GOP in general' and provide the link to the post."

You know where it is , i'm not falling for your trap . I post it and you complain to the Mods that i'm breaking the rules. Nice try.

"BTW....he's a big boy and can respnd to me.....himself."

Oh I know he can , but I know where the misunderstanding arose from . I felt that instead of you calling him a liar, when he didn't lie, couldn't go unchallenged. I know how it goes when one opposes Harris around here .

Dynamic Duo: In the interest of fair disclosure, which of you are on the payroll for the McBride campaign, and which of you are volunteers for the campaign?

Yes Post number 3 and number 5 was directed at the GOP in general and I stated later on That when I wrote post number seven I should have included some others in the to column, but at the time I was answering back to what was said in in post six and forgot to include the other names. I admitted my mistake.

Look, if you don't like McBride , don't vote for him

Please. All you can tell me about McBride is he's a lifetime member of the NRA and that I should go to his website? If you call someone a conservative don't you think you should be able to back it up? I would think this is especially important for someone who's decided that he'd like to use the wealth he accumulated from suing people to become a senator in his first public service job. I just love it when folks here admonish KH for not waiting while she developed her political skills further before taking on such a challenge. Why doesn't that apply to McBride?

well Its been nice you all ,but its time for bed. Glad we can have our discussions. May the best person win In September.

I hope that no matter who wins that we can all come together and support the nominee and vote Nelson out of office.

I know I will support the nominee no matter who it is whole heartily and will do whatever I can to vote Nelson out of office.

You said: and by calling someone a troll or calling someone a RINO who you do not even know makes you a lady huh

There you go again....More lies.....I didn't call you a troll....Here's what I actually said:

You were the second post here and I didn't PING you to this thread......you pounce on any Harris thread I post and begin to ATTACK and attempt to HIJACK the thread ASAP.

Your tactics are called TROLLING!

And I NEVER called you or anyone else on this thread a RINO

And when are you going to post a thread for McBride instead of using my Harris threads as a two man Rally for him?

No, but there are certain tactics being employed to get me banned for not supporting Harris .

Check your facts . It was another thread that the party trashing had occurred . I've only stated that I won't post it on this thread , as I suspect I will get reported to the mods for breaking a rule, just as planned .

If we are not to vote for candidates who don't have a active track record in public service then majority of the people in office would never have got elected cause they didn't always have a public record and had to start somewhere.

Fair enough. McBride is a personal injury attorney who is claiming to be an immigration lawyer. That's a bad start. I'm skeptical form this point forward about anything he says. I also doubt his ability to withstand the media scrutiny he'd be subjected to should he win. Why, with this in mind, should I wave the white flag on a proven conservative who stood up to a rabid media that few others could have survived?

I know of no rule against posting what someone has said on another thread. Just provide a link to the post.

But you cannot produce the post because I didn't ever 'trash the FL GOP in general'....as he and now you claim.

However, I think it is possible that you both may be confusing me with another freeper.

Not my facts. This was your assertion and it's irrelevant to this thread. Maybe you shouldn't say such things unless you're prepared to back it up. Besides, the claim was made that this was said on this thread by someone who did no such thing. Credibility killer - JMO.

Well, Mr. Fan, Julie and I and quite a few other Florida freepers have been on the Florida Chapter scene for a pretty long time now. You are very slick and smooth in hijacking threads, but it wasn't too slick of you to accuse JulieRNR21 of attacking the GOP party.

Besides being a conservative stalwart in local GOP politics for years and a veteran of numerous Florida street-corner freeps, she's one of the most respected members of this august forum and the Florida Chapter forum, also. Her word is her bond. You must think we're a bunch of dumb hicks to buy into your uninformed insult directed at one of our most stalwart Freeper activists. Nice try, but no cigar.

It's a gas to watch you leech on to a Harris thread to try to sell your virtually unknown candidate, Kid McBride. As an immigration mouthpiece, the Kid has too close a connection with the open-borders crowd for my discriminating conservative taste.

The Kid rose suddenly from an obscure pile of ashes somewhere and is now being lipsticked up and packaged to sell to the voting public by the pro-immigration bunch and the RINOS as a mighty "conservative" phoenix who will be a fantastic senator.

Ring, ring.......no sale here, Mr. Fan.

The link on your profile page took me to your personal blog which also doubles as a campaign site for your promotion of Kid McBride along with for-profit commercials. Hmmmmm........tsk, tsk.

I have an idea. Why don't you start a McBride for Senate thread tomorrow instead of parasiting here? We could then have something like Duelling Banjos. The Cong. Harris threads with upbeat rhythms and positive chords versus the Kid McBride threads with looney tunes and mariachi music.

How about it?

How can anyone 'check your facts' when you make accusations but will not produce the links to the threads or the posts?

>> Really you think as many people as she has gone through are all incompetent. It's not like only a couple people have left. She is on her 4th campaign manager and basically her 3rd campaign team in the past six months. that is way to many people to be calling them all incompetent. Just face the facts Harris is doing a horrible job running her campaign.

At least USmcobra accurately described Katherine Harris as "a woman whose only did what the law called for during the 2000 election." Nice to hear the truth from Harris supporters. A few of them have been listening to the RAT talking points about Harris so long that they now actually believe she single-handily "intervined and delivered Florida to Bush and "without her, Gore would be president today."

I don't know why so many Harris supporters would want to drink the Dem kool-aide and undermine Bush's self-made victory in Florida, but hey, to each his own.

This is insane , read all the threads and posts if you will, before accusing me .
The argument was between Julie and FloridaBushfan . She called him a liar and I stepped into to say that he was referring to another thread , in which she was not to enthusiastic about the party. All was well when she dug up some kind of feel good statement issued by the RPF trying to " bury the hatchet " with Harris .

I guess now it's back to Fantasy Land because the letter was never meant to be seen by the public, and now everyone is happy like it never happened after this backtrack statement put out by RPF .</Sarc

I would argue that Bush won Texas for three reasons:

1) He was a Republican with name recognition.
2) He advocated lower taxes...and he wasn't a lawyer.
3) And most importantly...Ann Richards vetoed a conceal carry bill and then threw it back in our faces that she knew what was better for Texans than the voters. Anyone would have won that race against her after she did that.
