Nothing makes an impression like an empty house.
In response to the Congress, both House and Senates planned negotated immigration bill I think every Republican weather we support the candidate at election or not, we should NOT attend any forums or candidates activities or public speeches for the next 60 days.
None, zero, let them speek only to their staff and reporters asking them where their supporters are.
Care to parse the "is" in your sentence while you are at it?
I repeat, there is nothing wrong with letting the GOP know that they need to grow a backbone concerning illegal immigration.
Actually, it's the Military that usually ends up protecting Americans, which often it's because some weak politician did not.
Freepers represent the most far right wing of the GOP so don't fool yourself that the ideas commonly accepted here are predominate even on the Right. And anyone believing that Tom Tancredo has even a slight chance of winning even one primary is hopelessly deluded though he leads the pack here.
I have seen the threats that this mythical base is upset over and over again but mainly it means some of the easily deluded here are joining the RAT attempts to destroy the GOP.
Try this on for size. Is English your second language?
I will admit when I am wrong. What say you?
Really. Rasmussen is bogus.
60% Favor Barrier on Mexican Border
And other "bogus" poll findings from that poll:
Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republicans say that the immigration issue is somewhat or very important.
How about a Time poll:
"Turning to problems with illegal immigrants entering the United States -- How serious a problem is illegal immigration into the United States: extremely serious, very serious, somewhat serious, or not very serious?" 68 percent said Extremely Serous or Very Serious.
I could go on and on and on. But clearly the polls are showing the opposite of what you are claiming. You may not care about illegals. But a strong majority of Americans do. And Rasmussen has shown it will impact their vote in the upcoming election.
I would say you tried to pull a fast one and got caught, given that it was your initial line of attack at me. And your apology means little since you keep throwing contradictory positions at me.
Immigration politics have similarly harmed New York. Former mayor Rudolph Giuliani sued all the way up to the Supreme Court to defend the citys sanctuary policy against a 1996 federal law decreeing that cities could not prohibit their employees from cooperating with the INS. Oh yeah? said Giuliani; just watch me. The INS, he claimed, with what turned out to be grotesque irony, only aims to terrorize people. Though he lost in court, he remained defiant to the end. On September 5, 2001, his handpicked charter-revision committee ruled that New York could still require that its employees keep immigration information confidential to preserve trust between immigrants and government. Six days later, several visa-overstayers participated in the most devastating attack on the city and the country in history.
BZZZT! I just posted a Rasmussen poll result. Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republicans say that the immigration issue is somewhat or very important.
How many strikes do you get before the ump calls you out on this at-bat? My arm's getting tired throwing these facts past you.
Nothing wrong with my statement and it was not a "premise" you just like that word apparently. And you have no clue about Illegals increasing in recent days in any case. Sounds good though.
One of the reasons the GOP is not as hard line as many would want is because they know they hang on to a small majority only by the skin of their teeth. An outright TRAITOR got tens of millions of votes last election and probably would have won but for the Swifties. Yet you persist in the illusion that turning further to the right will get more votes. In fact, it would turn many of Bush's supporters into enemies and cost this nation dearly.
There is NO possibility that a more conservative president that Bush could be elected in today's America.
Stupid bumper sticker even stupider tag line.
BZZZT! Wrong again.
There was a 51% increase in illegal apprehensions along the east and central Arizona border, coupled with a 60% increase along the southwestern Arizona border and a 38% increase in San Diego, in the months after Bush's announcement in January 2004, of a guest worker proposal.
What's that, strike eight? I'm losing track now.
THE WHINE ALL THE TIME CHOIR RULES!!!!
Not ONE Senate or House seat will turn on this issue. Not in California, not in Texas not in Illinois but it will work wonders in obscuring the great job the President has done in many other areas. But that is your intention in any case.
How would that poll look if the polled had been told that there were 1.2 MILLION Illegals deported last year? How would that poll look if the polled were told that Mayors across the Land REFUSE to allow their cities to work with Immigration authorities and EVEN SO almost 3300 Illegals are deported EVERY DAY?
Polls schmolls.
I just received this alert from the National Whether Service...
Now Polls are "facts" LoL. We had polls tell us Kerry WON too. But even if people believe this issue is the MOST IMPORTANT THING in the world. Why in the world would they vote for a party which will NEVER in a million years do ANYTHING to remove it?
BZZZT! Numbers in the sixties, seventies and eighties are very clear indications of underlying voter sentiment. Ignore them at your own peril.
Strike nine.
Good question. Why would President Bush and GOP Senators insist on going foward with a pseudo amnesty program that they have been warned time and time again could rift the GOP base?
Strike Ten. Actually, you're back to Strike Zero, because my counter only went up to nine.
Not even close to the plate besides it was a basketball anyway. 95% would say they are against crime too but what does that mean? Where are there going to be races wherein one guy says "let 'em all in" and another says "round them all up"?
You know damn well that will not be the choice. The RATS will pretend they are concerned and against II when anyone with a brain knows for a certainty that the RATS will stand against ANY attempt at a solution.
BOOOOOO
