Sumbody has way too much time on their hands!

This exceeds even "Hot or Not" as a major time killer. (But without the people who think they are sexy.)

I did the manic mode really fast, and then found a bowl of popcorn on my keyboard! Amazing!

Now THIS site is a keeper .... much relief!! Must have MORE!!!

Bubble wrap etiquette

  • Don't pop someone else's bubble wrap without permission. This could lead to Bad Things Happening to your person..
  • Don't pop bubble wrap in quiet public places (like libraries) unless you want it confiscated.
  • Don't pop bubble wrap in a store if you haven't paid for it. They get cranky when their rolls of bubble wrap are all limp.
  • It is always good form to offer to share your bubble wrap.
  • Giving your bubble wrap to children is good for Karma points.
  • Chicks dig bubble wrap. Always bring it along on a date.

It's more fun than a human being should be allowed to have. Well, back to the hot, sweaty yard-work drudgery.

When I was a power plant electrician, my crew had to check out 15KV circuit breakers. These things were on rollers, and roughly 3' x 3' x 5' tall.

We would disconnect them and roll them out of the load center, then crawl in the space where they had been and check out the control circuitry. The bussbars with 15-thousand volts on them were just above our heads.

Our favorite trick was to wait until somebody was inside there and sneak up behind them. Just as they were about to touch the circuitry with their meter probe, we would wring a roll of bubble-pack to make that crackling sound. He-hee...

Somehow, it's just not as satisfying as the real thing.

If you're curious, American inventor Alfred Fielding and Swiss inventor Marc Chavannes invented "cellular cushioning packaging material which contains entrapped bubbles of air or other gases" in 1957, by accident.

They probably died in poverty...

Must have MORE!!!

That statement is the funniest part of it. And that is saying something since the whole site is such a hoot.
