In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Thanks, I'm having a great holiday. When my dad died in 1994, they presented me with a huge flag, properly folded, which had been draped on his casket. He was a WWII Navy vet. This year, for the first time, I unfolded the flag and have it draped on the front of my house. It is making my dad smile, I'm sure. Me, too!

I'm sorry for your loss. No matter how long ago it was, it still hurts to lose a parent. I'm sure he was as proud of you as you are of him.

Thanks Ms. Rika! I have missed you a lot. I am sitting here quietly between cases. One of our surgeons got sick yesterdaym, and decided to schedule all his cases for today -- nice guy, eh? Anyway, I am having a nice day, and it is brightened by your good wishes.
