Hate to say it...but this style is from the 60/70s. Big fad of low-cut hip-huggers.You're right. I remember my HS girl friend wearing hip-hugger jeans. They sure weren't as low cut as they are now. This was back when there was still a bit of virtue left. Albeit, unreal, but nice to have around.

It's an old timey saying. When a person is dressed like this picture, it was said that it looked like he or she had been shot out of a cannon.
