I talked to my mom this morning. My youngest daughter and family came down and spent the night with her last night. 3 little girls moving at high speed :) They are quite entertaining. (This is my Nee Nee and her sisters)

Hi! Back from the Talbot Street Art Fair. When we got there it was pouring, so we mucked around in ponchos with water dripping off our noses. The exhibitors were all huddled in their tents and many were in huge puddles of water. One lady selling leather purses was wading through 6 inch water. What a mess!

Fortunately, after 45 minutes the rain stopped and we could see what was on exhibit. Some really interesting and unusual things, like stone carvings. Anyway...just checking in...got to run some errands! Back later!

Goodness Gracious! Haven't WE been a talkative bunch today? Here I thought I was going to be missing out on a bunch of stuff.

I hit the Garden Center,,,, I picked up more white stuff for my containers, and I found the perennial geranium known as Patricia. Patricia is desirable because she 'really puts out' (blooms for a long time). I thought you'd want to know.

I'm off to enjoy the Delphinian blooms. Back later.

Mr Chairman. We are in our new home, albeit it looks like Pearl Harbor on December 8th, 1941! Moved in on Thursday, just in time to lose power for over an hour! Our A/C is working fine though. Hope yours is fixed fast, this heat and humidity is for the young folks!

If you figure out a way to deal with the heat and humidity, please let me know. I've lived in NC all my life and never have learned to tolerate it.

..... Well, I guess that's not completely true. When I was a kid, we didn't even have air conditioning.

Howdy....I'm going to rest here for a little while. Been taunting a REDS fan on a thread about the brawl last night between the Phiilies/Reds.

So if he shows up.....mums the word....I'm not here.

Back from some errands. It is certainly steamy here!

I don't do well with the humidity any more. When I was younger I used to be able to tolerate it, but now it puts me in a really grumpy mood.

John...funny cooking story. While I was at the art fair hubby decided to make an antipasto/macaroni salad he saw in an advertisement last week. He had it all mixed up in the refrigerator and showed it to me. HE HAD PUT UNCOOKED PASTA SHELLS IN THE SALAD...and we are talking a BIG salad. I asked why he hadn't cooked them ...he had copied the list of ingredients that said "2 cups uncooked macaroni shells." He had skipped all that boring part about COOKING THE MACARONI and had written on the recipe..."mix."

I just spent half an hour separating unccoked pasta from olives,cheese, salami, cherry tomatoes, peppers, and pimentos. HA!

I then cooked the shells, which are cooling now, and then will re-mix the whole thing.

LOL! I sent him to surf on the computer for a while during the salad sorting. HIS solution was to throw everything out! ($$$$$$$) After spending money on Genoa salami, provolone cheese, pimentoes, olives and such, there was NO WAY.

I did manage not to fuss, though. LOL!

Well, he was so proud of it that I hated to tell him what he had done wrong. However, all is saved, and I will re-mix it in a minute.

Plus, I am in a better mood because I bought my orange juice while I was out.
