A still image taken off video shows explosions lighting up the night sky over Baghdad, March 30, 2003. U.S. warplanes struck Baghdad with bombs and missiles in unrelenting air attacks on Sunday after an Iraqi army officer killed four American soldiers in a suicide bombing. Some of the most ferocious air strikes of the war hit government targets in Baghdad in waves and repeatedly blasted Republican Guard positions circling the capital. REUTERS TV |

With printer ink a substantial expense around here, I nevertheless just printed that picture in color to show my husband and put in my kids' history scrapbook. This is NOT something I do for mere chat-worthy material. My two cents.
Thanks, whoever pinged me, for pinging me, or I WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THIS!

Our bombs are setting off their bombs?We likely hit one of their SAM launchers as it was poised to defend. Unfortunately, the damaged missiles took off with no sense of direction.

I'm not a rocket scientist but it makes sense to me. By looks of the photo the Iraqis arn't that hot on rocket science either.

I noticed the Iraqis did previde American missle debris form the site, but what the Hell, that's common stuff around Bagdad. (;-}

Check this photo out. Interesting, neh?

May I play devils advocate..........notice how the missile streaks originate from the area of our strike.. Looks like the strike cooked of a SAM Battery..
NO!
But series, I think you're right.

Good job on the photo. This could prove much. But 10-1, it won't appear on Iraqi TV or Al Jeseppi.

I thought about "begs the question" too, but I see it all the time in other publications and didn't want to bag on a fellow FReeper.
