Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I hope he tells them to blow it out their shorts. That was EXACTLY my thoughts and what I said to one of my co-protesters when we were told by reporters that those goobers had said that. BTW, isn't that blackmail????

Night all.
To: Wneighbor
BTW, isn't that blackmail????Yes, I would say so.
Have a good night!

Thanks, at least it seems so...it's kind of like yesterday I was playing around with a little gunpowder and today it turns out I set off crate of C-4!
To: Wneighbor
Thanks...I'll save the congrats until this thing gets finalized (and until I can see precisely what has gone on yesterday and today...though I think I know).

You wanna move to Salt Lake City or Jackson, Wyoming??? I may have a couple there I'm not using.
To: Scott from the Left Coast; Corin Stormhands
HA! My spidey sense is telling me that Corin would not do well in Salt Lake City.

Ugh. Spent most of this evening trying to find a place to live. Went to look at a room for rent. It's not bad, but a little on the expensive side. Then talked to a former coworker who is looking for a place, but seems to be set on spending nearly twice as much to live by himself. Finally got another lead on a roommate website. This guy mentioned that he loves Ronald Reagan, which is pretty good sign in my book. So we'll see how it works out. I have about 6 weeks left before I have to vacate the premises here.

Ugh is right! - Maybe go out for a pint or two with the Ronald Reagan guy and see how it goes! I keep thinking I would be nervous to move in with a stranger, but it is pretty lonely being alone, and I enjoyed my roommates in college.
I wouldn't have to worry about it here unless my life really took a bad turn.... my rent here is cheap cheap cheap. For a two bedroom mobile on seven acres with a barn, I bet you would be surprised that I only pay $500. The place isn't glamorous, but I would pay $500 to live in a tent and have my horse here!
To: HairOfTheDog
Only $500? Wow! Studio apartments cost more than that here.

It is cheap for here too.... I payed $100 more when I lived in a duplex, but I always live outside of town too.... Not in the city where it is really expensive.
To: Wneighbor
Wow, girl!! You is famous!! I'm so proud of you for doing this! I hope Myranda can go with you. It will be very educational!

I always live outside of town too.... Not in the city where it is really expensive.Someday I'll have a job where I can do that too. Once I pad my resume out a little more...

there's this quirky little Brazilian restaurant not too far away. Ooh! I'll have to check that out! Thanks!

Two different times today dems (not legislators) came up to me in the parking lot to tell me they were proud I was there and then began to spew their ignorrant idiology. Did you set them straight, and were they surprised?
To: ecurbh
Yes! Although, I have always had long commutes. It was worth it to me to live where I could have the dogs.

Goood morning-
Another drizzley day. *sigh* I'll never get my foundation dug at this rate and certainly won't get Frodo pics with a nice blue sky.
I get to go to a diabetes seminar offered by some sort of office devoted to employee wellness. I have a few questions I want to ask.
We're also still cleaning up a co-worker's office. It is quite a bizzare situation. The man was/is a packrat and has boxes and boxes of the strangest trash- menus from a now defunct cafeteria that are ten years old. Phonebooks from the 1970's, etc. There was so much stuff, it was bowing in the floor and pulling the partition walls away from the ceiling. Anyhoo he was warned for over a decade to clean up and now we have a new boss-gal who is actually following though. I would have opted for professional movers or a hazmat team but we've been volunteered to clean him up. Fortunately he's on vacation. Heh heh heh.
To: Wneighbor
And OT, now that the decision is made you might as well get used to it. Get Miss Cat prepared. Heh...I can still back out of it if I want to. I was going to slip Miss Cat a mickey and take her on a plane as carry-on luggage.

Morning all.
Will be going back to Ardmore in a couple of hours. In the mean time 300winmag showed me where to get set up so I could host photos. Now, when I get them over there onto that web site....
What's the code to put it onto the page of the thread? Is it the same as for the other images?
To: HairOfTheDog
Nov 18. I will definitely be requesting it for Christmas.
