Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

BTW, what did you ent up doing with the outside box?I put it in a closet.

I have never opened the one that came with the DVDs.... so I don't know for sure. I saw it on TV before, but I don't remember it well.

Panic Room is not anywhere near as good as We Were Soldiers (which was also a magnificent book, btw). But it's not bad -- even though the story is a little thin and predictable. The main attraction is Jodie Foster, but there is one other part played pretty well -- a fellow who organizes the "caper" and ends up dead about 2/3 the way through (don't know the actor). Very so so, but not a complete waste of an evenings entertainment, if nothing obviously better is available.

We report, you decide.I thought about you the day after we hung up our new 'squirrel proof' bird feeder. HA! WE looked outside and there was a squirrel handing upside down by his hind legs from the top of the bird feeder. He was throwing the seeds that had fallen to the overflow tray of the feeder down to an accomplice on the ground! It was hilarious to see! The nasty thieveses
