The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I thought just maybe you'd be interested in one of
these, especially the black Lab one.
One of my nieces saw TTT. She reports there is no raucous scene between Frodo and several randy elf-maidens. I'm so disappointed...

Immortality...and a certain vacancy...always some new aspect of something to contemplate (not navels, we don't have any).
As Treebeard would say to you: You hasty hobbits!

Good morning Ruthy!
Today I am going to clean house and begin reading LoTR again. Want to be fresh on everyting when we go through TTT, and It has been a year now.
I didn't know, but should have known, that the precious was hard to find! - There are a lot of versions of it out there, the one Ramius gave me (it was a present!) is the one that comes in the beautiful box. The box is finely finished wood, and a work of art in itself! And the ring is QUITE heavy. I am wearing it now, on it's chain of course. Funny thing is, there was not a chance I was going to put it on. My dad's lady friend didn't understand this! She didn't "get" how Ramius could have bought me a ring without knowing my size! Dad said, "She can't wear it! - Really bad things happen if you do!" Heh.
Anyway, here is the one I have.
To: Argh
Thanks Argh! Those are neat.
Frodo doesn't have any scenes with randy elf-maidens at all! Devastating for you, I know.
To: ksen
Looks interesting ksen! - Thanks! - Heading over there to read it!

Given the low birth rate among the Elves, are(were) there such things as "randy Elf-maidens"?

Oooohhhhh...I would like.....very much....to see it. Just for a moment. *wink*
What a beauty! Nenya came in a box similar to that one and I actually wore it. Glen cracked up when I put it on and when he asked how I liked it, I turned to him and said (in a husky voice): "I do not deny that my heart has greatly desired this." He said "You watch that movie WAY too much!"
I haven't had much time to read, and have only made it as far as "Three Is Company" in FoTR. Got to get on the ball and read more at work, since my boss is on vacation. :)

What, first no Santa (I thought I didn't get any presents because my apartment doesn't have a chimley), and now no randy elf-maidens?!?
I can't see that life has any meaning at all...

You're insulting Elves here, you know, and I don't really like that.... you are going to be on Santa's naughty list for years now!

LOL!
To: JenB
So there IS a Santa? I wish someone would make up their minds.
Anyway, how can that possibly be insulting to Elves? If there are going to be elf-maidens, wouldn't it be a total waste of flesh if they weren't randy? An elf-maiden who knows what she wants and goes out and gets it, my kind of woman, er, elf-maiden...

Oh dear. I didn't say there were no randy elf-maidens, I said they didn't have scenes with Frodo. Arwen is a bit randy, certainly... and so is Eowyn, but she isn't an elf.
To: HairOfTheDog
This thread is degenerating rapidly!
I'm probably going to the bookstore later, and hopefully the movie again, but I'm not sure of the showtimes....

Off to Office Depot. Be back later!
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh, no, Miss Hair, you don't fool me, but thank you ever so kindly for trying. That's no randy elf-maiden, that's Liv Tyler after she's apparently caught her left ear on the sharp point of a coathanger! But you're very sweet to try to restore my faith.

Yikes! I'm behind almost 800 posts? This should be very entertaining for Hair...
To: Corin Stormhands
Hi Corin! - Welcome back!
To: JenB; Argh
See ya Jen... We will try to get the thread back up to standard before you return!
