Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Morning everyone!
I managed to get thru the night without having nightmares after watching that Michael Jackson interview. I can't help but feel such pity for him, but at the same time, I have NEVER fely like ripping someone's head off more than at the moment I saw that poor baby crying for a bottle with that veil wrapped around his little face!! ARRRGGHH!
OK, on with the show...
First of all, thanks so much for the moon shot. It made my day! :)
Breakfast is ready - bacon, egg and cheese biscuits along with pancakes and maple syrup. Coffee is ready and the juices are chilled! ENJOY!

We've have had 5 cats over the years, still have two; had two dogs, still have one; the cat and dog pill experiences mirror the above descriptions to a T. That has been true in my experience, also. I can't remember ever successfully getting a pill into a cat without maximum stress and disruption and multiple curse words.
On another subject, have you had a chance to peruse your Atlas of Middle Earth. I did the other night and it is fantastic! But it brought to light another potential inconsistency in TTT (the movie). Every time we see it, and get to the part where Aragorn falls into the river, my son asks "what river is that?". I'd usually mumble something about it probably being the Entwash or some such.
Last night I decided to find out, and there is no river between Edoras and Helms Deep! None! Now the river Snowbourne runs very close to Edoras, so I suppose it could be that one, but they had been traveling a while, hadn't they, before they came upon the warg riders?
Anyway, it is another reason, albeit trifling, to be disappointed with PJ's job on TTT. There were no such inconsistencies in FOTR.

Ruthy - I skipped the interview, but caught Gloria Allred and Jackson's friend/manager (or something) on the Today Show. I can't stand Allred, but she's got a point about a much needed investigation. The manager guy said that Michael just believed children should be loved "unconditionally." I 'bout tossed up my oatmeal with that one...

But it's true...they hold a lot of gear and all my younger siblings, which is nice.I admit to test driving one a few months back, and it WAS pretty nice...

I loved the moon shot, Corin! It just about completely erased the serious mental trauma I got last night watching the MJ interview.
I am no fan of Allred either, but I have no doubt that those children are being subjected to a very dangerous environment. These kids almost got trampled going to the zoo, for crying out loud.
MJ, in his quest to provide them with anonimity (sp?), has turned them into targets for every paparazzi out there!
