Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

They just had a siren on the show "Clifford" that the kids are watching. Apparently a ball that Clifford was going to catch as it sailed through the air making this siren-like sound.
I didn't know where it was coming from and I though it was the storm siren down the street going off! I almost dove under the table!

http://www.half.com I do a lot of my movie / music shopping thereOh, I'm a huge half.com addict, I'll admit it! I always look there for textbooks and other books for the kids. I just ordered a CD of The Red Clay Ramblers doing the music from "A Lie of the Mind" I went Googling the other day and found out they'd done a 'soundtrack' of their music from the play. Then, I went on half.com and someone had it for $8! It's on the way!!
I've gotten great deals on DVDs, textbooks, and older editions of some Tolkien books there.

I had to run in to the feed store and the vets. Logan has an ear infection and I was out of his goop. Now I have to go put it in. He doesn't like having his ears cleaned when they hurt.

It's high maintenance animal night! - I just gave Zulu a bath with her "stop itching" soap, got an Athritis pill in Logan and Zulu both (which is easy 'cuz they taste good)... Now I am looking around to see who else needs doctoring.
Dog baths make the bathroom a disaster. I guess I will clean that now.

2JM & G - well, just got home & catching up, had a nice snowfall last night about an inch, just stuck enough to cover the dead grass. I was on the road at 05:30 to the airport and roads were wet but no ice and no snow.

Hello all! I just spent a fulfilling evening watching "Godspell". Well, first we went to the school library, to pick up the tape and the head nazi informed us that there was no such movie so she'd canceled the order. We pulled up the listing on imdb to show her and she said it "Must be a reel to reel"! So we took my car down to Rick's, a video rental place that has every movie ever made, and rented the thing.
Then we went back to the library and showed the tape to the nazi :)
That was the best part of my evening, I fear. The movie was so stupid we all five started banging our heads on things. Our only consolation is the atheist lesbo chick we all hate will dislike the film even more.
Anyway, I did pick ip "The Mikado", so tomorrow it's a Gilbert and Sullivan fest at our house! Yay!
Corin, I read about your son.... I really hope things work out well. I'm praying for you and if there's anything I can do, whatever it might be, let me know.

Suzi Threadkiller! Yeah, I wondered if the chlorine had run folks off. I hadn't had a chance to take a shower after I got out of the pool this afternoon like I usually do. Some bozo had hit the fire alarm by mistake, and the horn started blowing while the ladies and I were in the sauna chatting. I decided to just go ahead and get dressed. I wasn't about to go outside with my wet swimsuit under my clothes. By the time I was all dressed, a lady came in saying it was a false alarm. At that point I decided to bag the shower and go do my errands. I just waited until later for the shower. Sorry about the smell, guys!

How do you give a dog a pill-put it in a piece of cheese.
We've have had 5 cats over the years, still have two; had two dogs, still have one; the cat and dog pill experiences mirror the above descriptions to a T.
