My knee is better and I'm out the door to get on I-95 before it turns into a parking lot.

I listened to Evan Thomas of Newsweek on IMUS. He said that there has been a long standing feud between the NY Slimes and the Washington Compost. Good!
IMUS said to Vincent Curatola, aka Johnny Sack of The Sopranos who smokes that the Orange Nicorette gum tastes great. He's been using it for over 10 years. I don't think that's the proper way to stop smoking!

IMUS had somebody monitoring the Today Show and Katie Couric had 3 members of the Sopranos and couldn't have an intelligent conversation with them because she doesn't watch the show. Way to go NBC.

I caught the segment with the Sopranos actors. Actually, it seemed to me that Katie had watched the episode. She did have problems with the interview because the guys were pretty raucous. Things got off to a bad start because Katie botched the pronunciation of each of their (Italian) last names.
At one point, Joey Pantaliano (AKA Ralph) actually said "bafongul" (or however it's spelled), which I believe means something he could never say on the air in English.
Sidenote: the actor who plays Fourio has such an authentic Italian accent in the show that I was surprised, judging by his normal speaking voice, to find that he is apparently a native American!

I listened to Evan Thomas of Newsweek on IMUS. He said that there has been a long standing feud between the NY Slimes and the Washington Compost. Good! The WP scooped (socalled) the NYT on Watergate and I believe the NYT decided to run with the Pentagon Papers when the WP had the story but held up on it. Call it professional competition but it would have been nice to see them both trying to outdue eachother during the Clinton years. Instead, they both held up.
I think I'm right on the Pentagon Papers thing but maybe someone has a better take on it.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll get to listen to Col. Allard on the way to work. Glad to hear your knee is doing better. BTW did Imus ban Laura Ingraham, or she just didn't go on it for a couple of years?

I think that chemistry thing with Imus is fascinating to watch. Sometimes people just don't click with him. I met Laura at Cheney's House two years ago as she and her Golden Lab worked the crowd. To me she is a babe. She had her own show for a while on MSNBC and it just didn't catch.. Imus bad-mouthing it probably didn't help. But she is coming back. Almost all of them come back.
This will make about the tenth time that Col. Allard has been on. The Colonel knows how deal with the I-Man. IMO
Thanks about the knee. Better living through chemistry, I guess.
I'll miss most of his guests tomorrow also. Hope someone posts a rundown on their appearance. I'll start a thread before I go play in traffic again.
