Jurors in the David Westerfield trial began deliberating yesterday after hearing a final statement from the lead prosecutor, who beamed a photo of 7-year-old Danielle van Dam onto the wall and urged the jury to focus on the physical evidence.
Finishing closing arguments in the two-month murder trial, prosecutor Jeff Dusek called a blood spot on Westerfield's jacket the "smoking gun." And Dusek imagined what Danielle might tell the jury if someone could bring her back to life "just for a moment" so she could answer the question, "Please tell us who did this to you."
"I've already told you," Dusek said the girl would tell the jury. "I've told you with my hair and where you found it. I've told you with the orange fiber that you found on my choker, and where you found it.

Newsgroups: rec.bicycles.off-road, rec.bicycles.tech View: (This is the only article in this thread) | Original Format Date: 1996/09/05 I'm far too poor to buy a $150 or more light setup so I plan on building one. Actually I'm too cheap/inventive to buy one. Particurally where do I get good batries. Nicads seem like a bad idea because of the short life. I've got one of those akline rechargers that I could probably rig to recharge larger battries. I'd also like a battry(ies) I could put in a bottle/cage. Also I've got a Preview XE (2W) that runs -forever- on 4AAs. Can I change the bulb to maybe 5W without melting the unit and still get 30-45min out of it. If so where do I get a bulb. (Don't tell me to go spend $8 at my LBS please :-) I've seen references to locations for info on making your own light system but I am without external web access (sob, sob). So would one of you kind people mail me some info? Any help appreciated. Damon van Dam --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like the prints, fibers in SUV recovered first week of February (before the SUV returned to him), well before the body with orange fiber in necklace was found.
No not at all. The problem is Julie Mills is an airhead, she's worked there for twelve years and didn't know the address !
In addition she has a confused memory of the computer time being off, mistakes Dusek for Bill Riech, then enters the order under another customers name. The police dectective is the first reliable person to have custody.
Why Feldman didn't exploit this, I have no idea.

I've got an LN-03R printer that gives a field service and controller error with a 7 1 on the desplay. When the main logic board (controller??) has the chips reseated it will not give an error on the first power-up, but fails after being shut off once. I was hoping to find a defective chip. Sending the board off is too expensive. Any help would be appreciated. Please mail me though dvd@eng.ufl.edu as I don t rn often. thanks in advance. Damon van Dam

It'll let you configure everything as generic stuff so you can have a fallback position when you push the limits of your hardware. That's what I did until I could pick up the linux voodoo3 driver. Now if I can only figure out how to get linux to do my DSL's DHCP server I can ditch winblows altogether. -Fyddler Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know. Learn what you don't. This should kill X. From there, you may get to the terminal. If that fails, try telnetting in from another machine, su'ing and then set INIT 3. The INIT 3 makes Linux start up in command line mode. INIT 5 is startup in X. Hi Mike, I don't know if this answers your question, but on most Linux setups Ctrl-Alt-f2 (or f3...) will open up a virtual console in place of your X window. Here you can log in as root--or whatever--and try to fix things up. -- Hugh Lawson Greensboro, North Carolina hglawson@nr.infi.net
