The first interesting thing I've learned about Damon's Wild Ride is that Dehesa Road is in between Poway and the four places he said he was going that day - Ocotillo Wells, Borrego Springs, Glamis and Brawley. If you left Poway and went to Dehesa, you could drive in pretty much a straight line to the four destination areas.
