What Shall We Call the Clinton Decade?

The 80s were called by many the "me decade." This stemmed from liberals who were jealous of the wealth created during the Reagan terms. After the many scandals and the corruption and wealth created by corrupt business practices in companies like Enron and Global X which were supported by Clinton and his operatives, it seems only fitting that we should coin a term for the "Clinton" decade. Something suitable to reflect the government and business corruption inspired by the criminal in the wh.

Actually, the 70's were called the "me" decade, while they were still going on. The peace and love types were angered by the more self-centred attitudes of people after the 60's. (I first noticed this change in May 1972, but that's a long dull story, just like this reply is rapidly becoming). I think it's only since the end of the 80's that revisionist lefty journalists and THAT crowd have been trying to slough the name off onto the Reagan years, not being content with having called that period "The Decade of Greed". Actually, considering that the "Decade of Greed" name was partly predicated on the stock market success, and that the stock market REALLY took off during the Clinton years, and that Clinton was a self-centred, self-aggrandizing jerk, I think we need to move "The Decade of Greed" name from the 80's to the 90's.

Let's call it the "lewinsky" decade, in honor (?) of what she did to him and what he did to us.

The Black Years
This symbolizes hardship, mourning and death. Everywhere you turned there was additional burdens being added (socialized health care attempt ~ blessedly that attempt failed) and deaths (unborn babies, expanded "peace-keeping" missions, and all those UOx42 associate "suicides") and damage to our constitutional rights (Elian Gonzalez).
