You send the mystery — we investigate. This week, Medick travels to Elkhorn, Wisconsin, to investigate the "Beast of Bray Road." Since the 1980s, residents of the area have reported sightings of a hairy, wolflike creature with glowing red eyes — leaving residents terrified.

Resident Lee Hampel is not afraid to take on the beast. A math and computer science teacher who owns a farm along the road, Hampel has spent 13 years collecting evidence of the beast. Hampel said he’s seen the beast three times, describing the five-toed, seven-pad tracks he’s cast. He says photos show a 7-foot creature, and roadkill left out on his property has vanished or turned up mutilated, while trail-camera images show a "black mist" and flashing orbs. Hampel believes the beast may be tied to UFOs. "I have eyewitnesses, but I also have evidence. I have facts. I have data," Hampel says.

I came across this recent video and thought I'd watch it for a minute and probably go on to something more interesting, but it held my attention the whole time, and got even more interesting as I watched.
I had never heard of the Beast of Bray Road, but I did a search here at FreeRepublic and there were a few old threads on this topic.
This video is worth a watch. Farmer Lee Hampel has done quite a job gathering data on this, whatever it is...

I was in Elkhorn about 3 years ago for a wedding. Went to a good Burger place down town.

Bray road is situated approximately one mile from the intersection with WI-11 (accessible via I-43 exit 29).

Yes, you take Route 12 West and take the ramp at NN in Elkhorn. Stop at the end of the ramp and if you cross the road straight over, you'll be on Bray Rd.

Actually, I think we saw the beast on Cty road O near Twin Lakes one evening. He gets around I guess. He came running on all fours along side the car as we went along. Thought we were going to hit him. Freaked us out. We stopped and he was gone. There near by, there was an old wooden gate to a farmer's field. There was a sign on it that said "God's Haven". Very strange, but surely these things aren't real. Must have been a bear or the light playing tricks.

1. It’s Halloween. This story gets trotted out EVERY year at this time. At least they’re not trotting out Ed Gein because he WAS a real ‘monster’ on earth! *SHUDDER*

2. Most likely, it’s a skinny bear who hadn’t had enough to eat in summer and is trying to pack on the pounds for hibernation over winter. Bears CAN run pretty fast, have no problems ambling around upright and they also have ‘glowing eyes’ if the light hits them right.

3. Or, I could be wrong and it COULD be an alien! ;)
