Ex-con former Dem Ill. Gov. Rod Blagojevich urges America to vote Republican: ‘Democratic Party has been hijacked by socialists’

Disgraced ex-con and Democratic former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Sunday urged voters to cast ballots for Republicans, griping that socialists such as Zohran Mamdani have “hijacked’’ the Dem Party.

Blagojevich — who was convicted of selling to the highest bidder the Senate seat that Barack Obama vacated after his 2008 presidential election — seethed to the “Cats Roundtable” radio program, “It’s not the Democratic Party anymore.

“It’s a socialist party,” said the ex-gov, now a self-described “Trump-O-Crat,” while discussing his new book, “Framed, F*cked, and Freed: A Governor’s Odyssey” on the 770 WABC program.

“The Democratic Party has been hijacked by socialists and communists who hate America. If you want Mamdamis all across America, then stay home and allow the Democrats to win the midterm elections,” he said of New York City’s far-left mayor.

“But if you want to make our country great again, and protect it from people who would destroy our country, then get out there and vote” for Republicans, Blagojevich told host John Catsimatidis.

President Trump commuted Blagojevich’s 14-year prison sentence for political corruption in 2020.

In December 2008, a federal investigation led to Blagojevich's arrest on corruption charges after he attempted to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama upon his election to the presidency. Shortly after his arrest, Blagojevich was impeached and removed from office by the Illinois General Assembly.

I believe the entire process went very quickly. It can be done. Give Elmo the boot!

I had a client who did time with Blagojevich and said that he was a stand-up guy.

That said, I doubt that ex-cons’ endorsement’s carry much weight, especially one whose been away from the national stage for decades.

Well, at least Blagojevich is telling the truth about the Islamocommie Party.
AND I wouldn’t doubt that some democrats, who saw their party usurped by horse manure, are pissed and WILL vote republican.
Mark my words.
The Islamocommie Party will disappear……..one way or another.

I guess you guys don’t watch Fox News.
He has been an occasional guest on various prime time shows for several years. He brings a fairly conservative slant and seems to have knowledgeable opinions.
