Thank you very much and God bless you.

France has some of the strictest gun laws in Europe compared with the United States, although French civilians can legally own firearms for hunting, sport shooting, and certain other approved purposes.

Can French citizens own handguns? Yes, but with substantial restrictions.

For example, a French citizen seeking to own a 9mm pistol for target shooting generally must: - Belong to an authorized shooting club. - Hold the required sporting-shooting license. - Meet background-check and other eligibility requirements. - Receive government authorization. - Keep the firearm in approved secure storage. Owning a pistol for sport shooting does not give the owner permission to carry it for everyday personal protection. Can citizens carry guns in public? Generally, no.

France does not have an equivalent to the widespread concealed-carry system in the United States. - Ordinary civilians generally cannot carry a loaded handgun for self-defense. - Hunters may carry appropriate firearms while hunting. - Sport shooters can transport authorized firearms under strict conditions. - Exceptional carry permits may be issued to people facing extraordinary threats to their lives. Illegal carrying of a Category B firearm can result in up to seven years in prison and a €100,000 fine under the ordinary offense provision.

And, self defense aint a reason. Quarterly ammo allotments. We had a comment last week of 2.1 million firearms in private hands. Probably more than that in the holy mosques. With no quarterly limits. Odd no mosques reported destroyed during the sit downs. I wonder how it’s going today. Of course macaroon dictated only unions could participate today....🙄

It is inconceivable to me that those laws apply to Muslims in France.
Especially in the 5th, 10th, 18th, 19th Arrondissements, Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers, and Gennevilliers neighborhoods.

France will reconsider its gun ownership laws when its politicians and about 50% of its citizens are beheaded.

The strict French gun law were enacted between World War I and World War II.

The French government feared revolution.

I guess that Treaty of Versailles went to their heads. Wine, cheese, and a fresh baguette. All is right with the world.

Puts me in mind of the opening scene of The French Connection, where an assassin puts a bullet in a guy's forehead, picks up his baguette, tears off a hunk, and eats it as he walks away.
