Team Trump’s vast war on fraud should pay dividends for decades to come

Here’s one war that should’ve started years ago: Team Trump’s drive to stamp out fraud is still ramping up, but is already saving the public billions.

This week alone, federal, state and local authorities conducted a string of fresh raids and made arrests, including in New York and California, as part of a nationwide crackdown on Medicaid fraud.

Homeland Security also launched a massive operation to snare illegal immigrants who fraudulently stole $40 million in food stamps, bringing the total in food-stamp fraud ID’d so far to $641 million.

The feds have also destroyed more than 2,200 illegal merchant SNAP devices and disabled more than 2,000 retailer authorization numbers, heading off an estimated $5 billion in potential fraudulent transactions, Fox New reported.

Meanwhile, Tuesday’s sweep in Gotham alone saw more than 80 adult-day-care centers hit in Brooklyn and Queens.

And in Staten Island, prosecutors arrested two operators for $530,000 in billings for hundreds of phantom seniors.

All this follows the epic fraud scheme uncovered last year in Minnesota, where billions are said to have vanished.

One day-care center there alone, made famous by its misspelled name, the “Quality Learing Center,” was caught collecting millions for nonexistent kids.

Last month, a LexisNexis Risk Solutions study put the true cost of food-stamp fraud — including the costs of uncovering it — at more than four times the amount of the theft itself.

Imagine how much could be done if Congress were to help.

Like the regulation fixes, all gains will evaporate w/the next deomcrat or rino in office without Congress changing statutes.

The cash floodgates will open with the border.

I sure wish that the taxpayers who have been robbed could be re imbursed

By now,' taxpayer' = victim!

I don’t see the deficit being reduced.

“illegal immigrants who fraudulently stole $40 million in food stamps,”
How in hell do they even get access to the hood stamp programs?!?!?!

I’ll tell you… the dumprats allow it to happen because the illegals are a big part of their voter base!

Not if the Democrats get back in power. Everything good Trump has done will be reversed and fraud will get worse than it ever has. Democrats will do nothing about it, or even encourage it, because their party benefits from theft of taxpayers.

THIS!!!!

This is the message Republicans need to be hammering as we head to the election. Voters LIKE competence, and this is real evidence of it.

We would be, if SCOTUS had not demanded tariff paybacks

Indeed.

That is the largest existential threat to the US now, and it looks like no one will ever address it.

If Democrats get back in power, everything good Trump
has done will be reversed and fraud will get worse than ever........

Trump undoubtedly took that into consideration.

Ergo,a Democratic administration or Congress could technically dismantle or reshape elements of President Trump’s “war on fraud,” but a total reversal is politically and legislatively unlikely due to his mixing executive powers and bipartisan legislation. The ability to undo it depends on how specific parts of the program are structured:

• Dismantling Executive Orders: A future Democratic president could immediately dissolve the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud. Because it was established under Executive Order 14395, it can be revoked with a single signature.

• Repealing Permanent Legislation: Undoing the National Fraud Enforcement Division would be much harder. The bill to make this Department of Justice division permanent passed the House with a massive bipartisan majority—including votes from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and over 140 Democrats. Defunding or repealing a law that passed with heavy bipartisan support is politically toxic.

• Defunding and Appropriations: A Democratic-controlled Congress could use the power of the purse to slash funding for the division, scale back the $10,000 to $30,000 whistleblower bounty programs, or redirect resources away from specific investigations.

• Shifting Enforcement Priorities: Rather than ending anti-fraud efforts, a Democratic administration would likely pivot the focus. Critics have accused the Trump-Vance initiative of weaponizing fraud investigations against blue states and migrant communities. Democrats would likely redirect enforcement toward corporate fraud, tax evasion by high earners, and campaign finance violations.

All the Dems would have to do is look the other way while taxpayer dollars are being stolen. Minnesota is the model on how easy that is.

Not if “purists” send Trump a “message” and sit on their hands or worse vote for Democrats in this election. It can all be reversed overnight.

Yet people APPLAUD that then lose their minds when Trump promises a $5000 bonus.

I’m pretty sure this has been going on for decades and it infuriates me that NO OTHER republicans attempted to root out the fraud. Looking at you BUSH.

Also like to point out that lesser politicians, State Senators and Mayors, ALL DEMOCRATS because they are inherently corrupt, are being arrested for fraud all over the country. My hope is the DOJ is working their way up to the big fish.

Nope. It takes years to develop the vast theft that was going on. And many will take notice that people are doing real jail time for the fraud and not partake. And I’d bet the DOJ is developing safeguards for this type of theft.
