Aerosmith announced two Los Angeles concerts with a slew of all-star guests, and fans won’t have to wait long to see them live.
The legendary band announced Oct. 7 that “California Dream On: Aerosmith and Friends” will take the stage Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, alongside some very big names.
Run-DMC, the Black Crowes, Heart, Billy Idol, Eric Church, and Slash will all be part of the upcoming concerts.
Duff McKagan, Sammy Hagar, Tom Morello, and many others have also been announced to perform with the band at the Hollywood Bowl.
The comeback concerts come three years after Aerosmith halted its farewell tour following Steven Tyler’s larynx injury.
Aerosmith promised fans that more exciting news would be coming soon.
“Even more artists, special guests, and surprise appearances will be announced in the weeks ahead,” they said.
The lineup will vary each night and will include “unforgettable collaborations and unexpected moments.”
Aerosmith originally teased the news in a video clip shared Oct. 6 on Instagram. They revealed the dates without releasing any other information about what they represented.
General tickets for the comeback concerts will go on sale Oct. 10.

Are they back in the saddle?
Tom morrelo? Really? Unamerican POS. Railing against wealth while rolling in it...... Enough to disinterest me. Pre-election rants on huge stage days before will no doubt be full of anti Trump messaging and free pissastine. 🖕
With Toys in their Attic...............
I though Steve’s voice was shot. They said so when they cancelled the last tour.
They are taking Omega XL from the Green-Lipped Muscle of the pristine waters of New Zealand. They can move across the stage with such ease now.
What does Mick and Keith use?.............😆
Never been a fan - and hate that they’re played so often on the Classic Rock station I listen to. Ditto for AC/DC.
And the beat rolls on.....
“Who’s the sponsor? Metamucil?” — Charlie Harper
I used to be an Aerosmith fan back in the day but I’m not thrilled with this announcement. Retire guys. You have enough money. We don’t need more senior citizens jumping around on stage pretending to be 20.
Oooh. The Dinosaurs of Rock, Part MCMLXIII.
Them and the Rolling Stones should do a tour together. It will be their Steel Wheelchairs Tour,...........
Mick Jagger did a funny comedy skit where he trashed Monty Python for going on tour, claiming they were a bunch of senior citizens trying to relive their glory days while charging too much and that they should have retired a long time ago.
Blasphemer.
More like back in the wheelchair at this point. Or maybe back in rehab.<p
I saw Rush in concert a few weeks ago and the amount of energy they had was incredible. You never got the feeling you were watching a nostalgia act despite Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson both being over 70. It was just a great rock show. Unfortunately, just about every other rock band from that era is basically just doing nostalgia geezer tours where the music itself has really slipped.
AC/DC is god awful. Angus knows 3 chords. D G A in the open position.
Aerosmith is on the classic rock station I listen to.
If I hear Dream On one more time, I might kill myself. Uggh.
Are they still alive?
Geez, a bunch of Debbie Downers on this thread. For me, Aerosmith is the ultimate reminder of my youth. My first four concerts were seeing Aerosmith. What memories. I have not seen them in 50 years though. I did see Ted Nugent about 6 weeks ago. He is 78 years old and still rocking.
I agree that a lot of these 70’s and 80’s bands need to hang it up. Younger guys doing Tribute bands sound better a lot of the time.
One of my favorite bands from back in the day is Styx and it is for a variety of reasons. I saw them live about 2-3 years ago and man oh’ man... They rocked the house and Tommy Shaw was spot on. Ageless. I think Styx is down to 2 original band members and a part-time original band member. They are slowly bringing in younger guys and doing the “slow walk” to a Tribute band with the endorsement of the originals.
It is very sad that Dennis DeYoung and Styx broke up back in the late ‘90s. DeYoung had talent oozing out of him and wrote most all of their “hits”. He also had a voice that was very very underrated.
