The 2-repeat allele of the MAOA gene confers an increased risk for shooting and stabbing behaviors

Abstract
There has been a great deal of research examining the link between a polymorphism in the promoter region of the MAOA gene and antisocial phenotypes. The results of these studies have consistently revealed that low activity MAOA alleles are related to antisocial behaviors for males who were maltreated as children. Recently, though, some evidence has emerged indicating that a rare allele of the MAOA gene-that is, the 2-repeat allele-may have effects on violence that are independent of the environment. The current study builds on this research and examines the association between the 2-repeat allele and shooting and stabbing behaviors in a sample of males drawn from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. Analyses revealed that African-American males who carry the 2-repeat allele are significantly more likely than all other genotypes to engage in shooting and stabbing behaviors and to report having multiple shooting and stabbing victims. The limitations of the study are discussed and suggestions for future research are offered.

That is the question that needs to be answered. Are .2% violent vs .1%? Or are 75% violent vs .1%? (Making up numbers)
This is an area near and dear to me because I’m XYY chromosomes. No effect for me except I am particularly tall and mesomorphic and male in general (secondary male sex characteristics are exaggerated). Have more male sperm (2:1).
Science used to say we were violent. Even had a whole Aliens movie about it. Well, it turns out we’re not more violent. We’re just bigger and better at violence, so prison populations tend to have an unfair share of us, on the basis of when you have a big hammer, everything is a nail.

The left especially are illogical about this. what is scary though is how PC thinking has infected science.

I thought it did all the time, the bible mentions a lot of things addressed to males and females and their natural biological drives and impulses and also behaviors they should do based on their biology, it reveals sins done from biological drives.
Indeed, in which cultures would a homicidal trait be favored by natural selection?
Europeans, in contrast, executed those that exhibited abhorrent behaviors (something we should reinstate).

Maybe 20 years ago female violence in relationships was a story so I started asking guys if females had ever tried to stab them or brain them with something.
When first asked the guys would laugh and say no, of course not, but when I would persist in trying to jog their memory they would remember things that they never really registered such as “well this one girlfriend tried to stab me, but I just laughed and took the knife away from her”, or “yeah a GF stabbed me in the arm with a fork when we arguing, but it wasn’t very deep”, “tried to club me”, “threw blank at me”, “punched me”, just about every male alive has been attacked by females but just registered it as her getting mad and only relevant to the moment long forgotten.
I put more stock in what Romans 1:16-32 teaches. Basically, the sexual revolution, as a spiritual cultural change, probably had more to do with leading blacks down the spiritual decline they've been on than the political change of welfare being the causal agent. As Dr. Sowell points out, for the first century after abolition a higher percentage of black babies were raised in two-parent households than white babies raised by two parents. That changed in the 1960s -- Sowell says from welfare, I say from the addictive nature of the sexual revolution (detailed in Romans 1). And the societies that get into that is prone to get gay sexual stuff too (also in Romans 1), then into normalizing violence (also in Romans 1).
The solution is not just limited government, getting rid of welfare. The solution is in v. 16 and 17 -- being unashamed of the Gospel and living it like we mean it. That's how the Romans 1 cultural death spiral ended (after the Roman world got into Christ). That's how we got out of the latter sexual revolution (called the "first sexual revolution" among British historians) after the Age of Enlightenment's atheism and deism, which brought with it a new western low for slavery: it's not a person it's just property. The First and Second Great Awakenings took us back to God and away from the old sexual revolution and dehumanizing of man.
And that's what has to happen today. More than a conservative movement we need a spiritual movement of getting back to God. Unashamedly. And not just talk -- living it like we mean it. If enough whites do it (that seems to be starting) blacks will do it too. That's the true solution.

I am not at all surprised that, on the heels of that woman who killed her kids and is getting away with it because of her hormones, someone is trying to give blacks a pass for committing most of the violent crime. “Oh, they can’t help it, it’s genetic. You can’t hold them responsible.” It was a perfect segue.
The apostle Paul also says that “no temptation has seized you except that which is common to man”. Everyone has the choice to be violent. Some may need to curve that choice more diligently. But sinning is always a choice.

Unfortunately, that part of the article makes Lysenko sound correct.
The book of Enoch addresses this also in more detail. In the Garden of Eden, God prophesied about Eves line producing One who would crush the head of the snake. Satan thought to eliminate any sinless pure Person by polluting the gene pool.
Interesting.
The first question is what percentage of African American males carry this particular allele. We’ve always known that a very high percentage of violent crimes are committed by a very small percentage of the population. Which of course is why stereotyping is so dangerous. The story says this allele is rare. How rare?
The second question is how widely this allele is found in populations other than African Americans. If it’s rare in the AA population, it’s easy to imagine it is even rarer in other groups. But it would still be present unless you want to pretend to believe that there has never been an any interbreeding across racial lines. We are all pretty close cousins.
A third question is what other traits this allele may be associated with. There may be some linkages that have beneficial results and that create a positive selection pressure. I don’t have anything in mind, but there is probably a reason that an apparently maladaptive trait persists in a population.
Has anyone sought to find a genetic explanation for the higher level of violence in Latin America, or is it adequately explained by cultural factors?
