he phrase "having a bad day" does not begin to sum up a Florida homeowner's day when a crane placing a termite tent over their home, suddenly tipped over onto the house.
Firefighters rushed to the house with a second crane to lift the first one off, and it too collapsed onto the house under the load of the first one.
‘It's a shame that I saw this happen. This is a new friend of mine; he just moved into the neighborhood, and he's been renovating the house,' a neighbor named Mike told WSVN.
‘My heart goes out to him right now, and his family, because they were just so excited to move into this house, and now they have to deal with this tragedy just because somebody wasn't really paying attention and doing what they needed to do.'
Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.
However, "the house that the crane fell onto sustained significant structural damage," Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesman Frank Guzman told The Independent.
No word on whether a third crane is being brought in to remove the first two, nor how many cranes it would take to make this a giant game of Jenga.

“A Tragedy”
.
???
Time for a 3d crane.
Well the house did have termites...
Incompetence on parade.
Must be the same company that repaired the reflecting pool
When in question about omens trust the first one move.
A house died as did some peoples’ jobs...............
No need. A meteor is on its way.
So, I can say the the first crane tipping over should not have happened. I could safely say that it was not the operator's first go at this lift. But it was a mobile crane and it is possible that the crane was on unstable ground. Florida is after all a sand bar.

This was an unforced error.
They should not have rushed to remove the first crane. Removing the first crane would be a complex lift with many unknowns.
I would have recommended bringing in a specialist to plan the lift. The potential to cause more damage in removing the crane was very high.
Florida’s doing great this week between this story and the woman who left her little kids alone while going on a cruise.
Ambulance chasing lawyers are swarming the neighborhood.
I remember a sequence of pictures showing a portable crane on a dock pulling out a car then falling back in the water followed by another larger portable crane repeating the process.
Well, he is RENOVATING the house with the help of the termite people.
The America of our grandfathers and fathers - Once the indisputable leader of the world.
The nation that built the 102 story Empire State building in ONE YEAR 95 years ago!
The nation that dominated the Axis powers in WWII and rebuilt Europe with the the Marshall Plan after their surrenders in 1945.
The only nation that put men on the moon and brought them home safely.
And did it SIX TIMES!
More than half a century ago!
Now we are reduced to being a nation of DEI bumblers.
I’d hire a different crane company.
Using Nazi technology, and with one failure.
This unfortunate crane incident is yet another result of Global Warming. We must redouble our efforts before we lose even more cranes.

Might be a new hire, replacing an illegal that got sent away.
“Ambulance chasing lawyers are swarming the neighborhood.”
They need to be tented too and no cranes necessary
