t seems that the Democrats have already settled on a candidate for the ’28 presidential contest. It’s always a good idea to get ahead of the game, to make your arrangements early so as to guarantee a smooth, simple process and to ensure that all the pressure is on the opposition. At least that’s what you might think until you realize that the candidate is… Kamala Harris.
This is one of those things that causes you to stare off into space and consider whether you’ve slipped through a transdimensional portal and ended up in an alternate timeline where humans evolved from chipmunks.
Harris gave a podcast interview on BigBoyTV that made it absolutely clear that she’s running, and that she has the support of… well, whoever is actually at the wheel of the Demotanic at the moment. Profound observations, attacks on Trump, coy statements about 2028, stale Dem talking points, attacks on Trump, word salads, attacks on Trump… She’s got ‘em all. Or, at least as much as could be expected from Joe Biden’s VP. (The link above is an hour and 35 minutes long. No, I am not kidding. So let’s take a look at the record. Kamala Harris, after an absolutely undistinguished term as VP (remember her stint as “border czar”?) was dumped on the Democrats by SloJoe himself (or perhaps Jill, since it’s questionable that Joe had any idea who his VP was) as a blatant act of sabotage in revenge for the July ‘24 debate ambush. She then, with three months to campaign, dawdled for weeks before getting into gear.
