There is a clip of the celebrated conservative economist and historian Thomas Sowell circulating on social media right now that is fascinating to watch.
In the video, Sowell shares what makes him think that society as we know it might be doomed. He uses the example of the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Sowell points out that people are so stupid that they called Kirk a fascist when all he did was talk to people and try to convince them of his ideas, while noting that it is fascists who shoot and kill people.

He rightly points out that the ignorant assassination culture is destroying society. The left has done it’s dirty work so cometely that Thomas Sowell sees the end coming. That is scary.

The (deliberately) poorly educated are easily manipulated, especially when that poor education fails to teach critical thinking.
He’s good... and he’s right about how stupid people are. Antifa is the definition of fascist and everything the left spews about the right is exactly what they are. They are completely insane.

Are they? Hitler was one country away from taking his basket-case country from nothing to conquering Europe - he was a GENIUS, played our side PERFECTLY. Antifa now SHOULD have been swatted down, like a fly, but, somehow, people opposed to them think they’re a legitimate political entity...and so they continue to get stronger.
The people who are insane are the ones who think Antifa can be reasoned with and those on our side who think that empowering Antifa (by letting Democrats win elections) will somehow ‘purify’ the Republican Party of RINOs without first getting all of us thrown into Gulags.

Repealing Roe gets our country (our Constitution) out of the business of abortion. Individuals and state governments is a different thing

Educational neglect. Send the child off to public school, so two parents can make enough money to cover that mortgage that was more important than the child's mind and future.
Talk to the child later. Tonight, when everyone's drained by the day's activity. And the child isn't much interested in listening. Friends, games, phone...
Does anyone carve out time to talk to their children anymore? To discern what the children learned today? Who's got the critical thinking skills to examine the education to which they consigned their offspring?
Now and then one hears the adage, "Take charge of your health."

Hitler wasn’t “a genius.” He was a personality able to dupe morons into following him. His opponents were merely weak, so weak they made him look like a far smarter man than he was, and his supporters were so blind and bigoted they blamed their failings on everyone but themselves, completely misunderstanding the problems Germany faced.
A genius would never have adopted eugenics and turned it into a war on his own population. A genius would have lifted Germany to its feet and restored patriotism without identity politics and its inevitable violence. A genius would have risen in politics by building coalitions of support based on an uplifting agenda rather than one based on jealousy and unwarranted arrogance. A genius would have turned Germany around without invading a single neighboring country. But he didn’t choose well, he was just not opposed.
Instead, he mistook the lack of unified opposition to his invasion and territorial gains as a green light to take more, setting in motion the forces that would doom Germany to defeat. (And got hooked on mind-altering drugs on the way.)
Conspiring with Stalin to invade Poland was a mistake.
Breaking his pact with Russia after they jointly attacked Poland was yet another mistake.
Not seeing any genius there.

Everything’s relative. The ‘smart people’ against him should have made MINCED MEAT out of him in 2 weeks, early-on, of course. That’s who I judge Hitler against, not whether he went to Harvard or Cambridge, as that doesn’t apply in these situations. Could Hitler have been smarter - yes, of course...but in a relative sense, he was FAR SMARTER than the people he was up against...or he would have been CRUSHED, virtually overnight.
That’s how I felt when, right after the 2024 election, many liberals decided to be such sore losers, they began wrecking cars made by Elon Musk. A few even blew those cars up with explosives. Several of these property damaging, sore losers were never prosecuted or got off with a very light sentence.
Not seeing any genius there.

Hitler came close to conquering all of Europe. As you point out, he made many mistakes.
Your assertion that he only appeared strong because his opponents were “weak”, is not a strong argument. Genius is always relational to others.
There can be genius for doing evil. Your assertions seem to assume genius can only result in positive ends.
Thomas Sowell is a smart man. We are going to tell our kids about his statement today. We usually don’t give them schoolwork on the weekends, but if something important comes up, we talk to our kids and let them do research on the subject.
Assassination does not trump civil war.
Just sayin’.
