Female Death Row Inmate Christa Pike Demands All-Woman Execution Squad, Fears Painful Lethal Injection

A female Tennessee death row inmate has asked that she be killed by an all-female execution squad after she was convicted for murdering her classmate more than 30 years ago.

Yes. I've always hated the fact that killers make on the spur of the moment decisions to kills a family in a home invasion or maybe spare someone. Same with hostages in bank and other robberies.

Then the ACLU and churches and political hacks take years of discussion time back and forth along with demands for retrials and appeals.

Many death row convicts get to live for decades but the victims are long since dead and the families never really live it down.

This is what Christa Pike was convicted of doing to her victim, Colleen Slemmer:

"According to later court testimony, for the next thirty minutes, Slemmer was taunted, beaten, and slashed. Shipp carved a pentagram into her chest. Finally, Pike smashed Slemmer's skull with a large chunk of asphalt, killing her. Pike kept a piece of Slemmer's skull. Pike began to show off the piece of skull around the school . . . . "

I don't really care if Christa is afraid of a painful lethal injection.

she was found guilty of torturing and murdering fellow Knoxville Job Corps student Colleen Slemmer in 1995 alongside her then-boyfriend, Tadaryl Shipp.

Investigators said that the couple carved a pentagram into Slemmer’s chest, and Pike, now 50, kept a piece of her skull.

… lawyers said she is “terrified” of dying a “painful” death by lethal injection… Pike’s legal team added that the lethal injection will be “prolonged and agonizing” because she has a rare blood disorder, which could make it difficult to find a vein and could affect how she reacts to the drug.

I will never undestand why death row executions are not done today with Fentanyl. Fast and painless and guaranteed death. Why continue the crap with electric chairs or injected junk. Fentanyl is instantaneous lights out and guaranteed to work.
