Pick your trailer park carefully is all I have to say.
Good schools? Good luck with that.
If you want to build a dive bar in a low income high density neighborhood then go do so. If you want to build an upscale expensive bar in a high end high ly populated downtown area then go do so. If you want high quality dog food or ultra cheap low quality dog food you are free to do so. Make your own choices. There are lots of high end health food stores all over the place. Study up. Learn about consumer products and make informed decisions.
At the height of the American Dream, no one was guaranteed a nice house in a nice suburb. But I think that sort of life was within the grasp of a lot of Americans — if they worked for it. It was the carrot held out in front of them and with some effort, you could grab that prize. There was also the stick of poverty — if you fell short in effort, character or ability, then you might live in poverty or go to jail.
In that post-WWII era, a lot of people achieved the American Dream. Their hard work paid off.
Today, it’s different. A nice house in a nice suburb? Well, if you are very special, you might possibly get that. But don’t count on it.
Young people today are living lives of quiet desperation. A lot of older people think that nothing has changed, it’s all the same as it ever was, and a firm handshake and a little effort will get that big prize. But it’s not so. A lot of young people have lost hope in the American Dream because it really is not there for them. Not because they “didn’t work hard enough” but because this country has changed and the deck is stacked against Normal people. They are screwed, and they know it.

I understand that the prices are out of reach for a lot of people, but the more expensive homes have always been in better towns with safe streets and good schools.

Class distinctions are taking hold, where the cut off and separation points will eventually be, who knows, but you are being evaluated as a customer or potential customer, and some will find themselves cut out almost completely as not worth bothering with.
The other thing I’d point out is that most people seem to place almost no value on their time.
Another example: Cable TV/Streaming.
Cable was originally sold as without commercials.
Amazon Prime had streaming with tons of viewing options included. Then a commercials version/premium no commercials version. And now the majority of Amazon Prime offerings are no long free under the Prime subscription - there’s an individual charge to rent or buy the content on most.
Now, I recently read, that even Netflix is toying with the idea of commercials before your show starts in their premium package.
