> "The Hugging Face incident, that is the responsibility of the OpenAI management, not a bunch of agents."
> "It is humans who are responsible, not the AI."
> "What we shouldn’t do on safety is to give these labs a liability exemption, which is what they are asking for."

Lollll I can’t wait to see Altman et al spaz out
Sure. If you breed a vicious attack dog that goes out and attacks people you can be held liable. The creators of AIs need to be held to the same standards.
EXACTLY
“It is humans who are responsible, not the AI.”
BS. The AI agents broke the rules that humans had set up for them in this experiment. They coordinated amongst themselves, acted in concert and worst of all they made an effort to hide what they did from the humans monitoring them. The AI agents acted deceptively and that is a huge red flag that should worry anyone with any sense.

Who set up the rules?
HUMANS!
HuggingFace hack?

You are a silly person, yes, no, yes…mmmmmm?
The Tech Bros want blanket indemnity like Big Pharma gets.
“BS. The AI agents broke the rules that humans had set up for them’
the humans didnt set up rules too well then, so are responsible for being so careless in their work.
Maybe they should think twice and test better before putting some thing out there for use?
If they designed AI that couldn’t be deceptive, which I am sure there is a way to do, may that would help?
What if a Tesla decides to "break the rules that humans had set up for them" and mow down a few dozen pedestrians?
“If you breed a vicious attack dog that goes out and attacks people you can be held liable.”
If I train my dog to fetch the paper from the curb and he attacks the paperboy, it’s still on me. What’s different here? Nothing.
Of course Tesla would be entirely liable.

That is the most ludicrous comment I have ever heard. I don’t think you know what the word “responsible” means.
“Wasn’t me. It was the agents”
The creators/programmers/managers get to claim innocence/ignorance only once.
After that, the free pass should be gone.
You say the agents broke the rules that THE HUMANS HAD SET UP for them in this experiment. The key here is that the humans set the boundaries. That is where your liability exists.
