So many conversations just gated up like we are Cattle and just livestock.
I saw that happen. The OP realized that there was already a thread to the same topic of interest. But still there were conversations and sentiments being also shared in this second post too and it is rude to just shut it off like that. Doesn't anyone know how to just "forward" any new comments to the older thread? It is not rocket science and only take minimal effort... I can teach you how... That way those conversations are not lost to the wind...
Does anyone care about the members here and have customer appreciation? Or is the arrogance so great that we should feel lucky you even allow us to participate here? If it is the later you are wrong and that is a mistaken perspective. That arrogance will be the downfall of this domain in the end.

No... I have been here long enough to recognize arrogance. And what is unfortunate is that I know who the mod is who did that and she did not used to do this. She spoke out against these things. But now she is caught up in the company “Program”.
Part of the skills required to be a true moderator is to be able to “move or redirect thread comments”. It is a prerequisite I have NEVER seen here. It is always just shut it down or shut it off.
It is either pure laziness, or... No one knows how. I can teach them how to do this with minimal effort and stop pissing off “customers” like this.

As I see it, it’s not a big deal. I’ve posted on threads that later get locked. If my comment is so good (and they always are!), I’ll just copy it and paste it on the earlier thread.
It would be nice to be able to merge threads. But FR is a very basic site. Not many bells and whistles. I kinda like it that way.

The search has barely worked for 25+ years. I will say I think I’m pretty good at making it work, but it’s a pretty marginal search.

If I were to recommend any update to the software here it would be the introduction of a "Like" button (actually, in the case of FR, I would recommend "Agree" and "Disgree" buttons).

My date is absolutely incorrect and wrong. I do not know who changed it or how it was done for whatever devious reason but I have been here since 2013.
I have the screenshots to prove it... I have a LOT of screenshots to prove a LOT of SHADY stuff from here. Look... Be defensive all you like, that loyalty to the domain is a very good thing.
But there are unknown factors you are not aware of...
