Three men were stabbed in Crown Heights, Brooklyn early Monday morning — just before the notoriously violent West Indian American Day parade was set to kick off, according to police.
A 32-year-old man and 23-year-old man were stabbed in the neck and a 36-year-old was stabbed in the face near Carroll Street and Utica Avenue around 5:48 a.m., cops said.
EMS responded and rushed all three to Kings County Hospital, where the 32-year-old man remains in critical condition.
Police said the parade will be promptly shut down at 5:30 p.m. — a decision made after six people were shot during last year’s festivities, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.

One would guess that “notoriously violent” might be noteworthy. But, NYC. 🙄
We have a large Philippino community in my city because it’s a Navy town.
A couple of months ago they had a Philippino day celebration that actually was a weekend long event.....not one shooting, stabbing or even as much as a fist fight that I know of.
Just food, music and fellowship.
Whoever said all races are equal was sadly mistaken.
This random violence has been the pattern at each of NY’s West Indian American Day for years. Every following year, I’ always surprised that they’re allowing another one to proceed. At very least, this group (West Indians) need to police and monitor their own people more closely.
Yeah, a lot of competition as to who are the worst animals in nyc.
I’m guessing Cheyenne, Arapahoe, Apache, Nez Perce, Sioux, Lakota, Comanche, Crow, Kiowa…you know, those Western Indians.

In this week’s email my GOP Congresscritter included a poll for constituents to tell him the most critical issues Congress should be working on. Of course the list did not include bringing down inflation, ending the Iran war, ending deficit spending, getting the government out of medical care, getting the federal government out of education, stop funding far left NGO’s with taxpayer funds.
My response to him was: Congress doing its job as described in the Constitution.

Like you, I often get contacts from my representatives. What issues concern you the most? Maybe I’m just too cynical. But the messages seem artificial, like the politicians are just checking off boxes.
