An aggressive mystery animal is on the loose in New Hampshire, and authorities said it’s gone after multiple people in recent days.
The Lebanon Police Department said it’s still unsure exactly what the animal is, but it has reportedly displayed “unusually aggressive behavior towards people,” and at least three unprovoked attacks have been reported since August 30.
Lebanon police released video of the animal attacking two people as they got out of a U-Haul.

It’s likely a fisher cat. It’s not actually feline, more of a weasel on steroids with an attitude problem. Had one come up my driveway once. Fortunately I had a rake already in my hands and he left very quickly.

That was my thought- The tail is really long, longer than fisher tail- and it is ringed- I think the coatomundi has ringed long tail-
If that's a squirrel, it's the biggest one that ever lived.
It moves like a weasel. It snatched something from the hands of Mister Ponytail -- a satchel of manpurse or something sack-like -- and pulled it to behind the rental van before it let go of it. Very un-squirrel like.
I could be wrong, but I think the guy who narrated that video is a bit light in the loafers.
Fishers are normally shy animals; very much non-aggressive. It is very likely rabid.
Color says squirrel. Kind of large for a squirrel but not unheard of size.
Not in that region of the country. Way too cold up there during the winter.

post 30 shows it in the air- it ‘looks like’ the snout is long and maybe an eyepatch, though hard to tell- in the video- when it ran, it looked like the tail was striped- not sure though if that was the thing it snatched from the maN- not very clear video
I’ve heard squirrels don’t carry rabies. But insanity can be can have other causes.
