and the conservative side is showing self-retraint.

I really loved his optimism for a time but it was just wishful thinking disguised as commentary. He was incisive in describing the ramifications of events but he was seeing something that was not there.

Sununu, the Republican frontrunner, is running for his old seat that he won back in 2002 but lost to now-retiring incumbent Jeanne Shaheen in 2008.
At 70 YOA, I recall voting FOR Reagan and Trump.....and one Congressman, Clarence Miller, Oh, and our sheriff because I got the goods on him....in every other instance I voted AGAINST the Democrats rather than FOR the Republicans.
I know a lot of other people feel the same way because, every time the Republicans get control, they act like they earned it....as with the current Congress.....and do nothing but line each other’s pockets and screw our daughters.....sons anymore as often as not.
There needs to be a better way to remind them of this rather than not voting.
In the old days, such a strategy might mean Bill Clinton instead of GHW-Bush...both equally detestable but for different reasons.
Today it may well mean the difference between a RINO Mike Pence, or AOC and trains to the camps.
But that is just my opinion and I do not feel strongly about it.
It's Trump shutting down the corruption money USAID and NGOs, as well as his Justice department hammering the election stealing systems in various states.
When DeSantis cleaned up Florida's election system, he won his next election by 20 points! 20 points is unheard of, and it just goes to show how much corruption was holding back the real voice of the people.
I think the same would happen in other states if we just stopped states from allowing corrupt elections.
Yeah that is the problem with him. If you watch his YouTubes they are a series of things we wish were going to happen but rarely do.
Polls me squat- if we don’t get out and vote in huge numbers we won’t win...
