Conservatives slammed Gov. Kathy Hochul for wearing a headscarf during a visit to an Islamic center in New York City over the weekend.
The Democratic governor wore a charcoal gray suit and a black scarf mirroring those many Muslim women don to symbolize modesty and their religious faith, according to a clip of the appearance at the Islamic Cultural Center of New York in Queens.
Hochul addressed the congregants during the weekly Friday Jummah prayer service, giving a shout out to “his excellency” Tareq Albanai — the United Nation’s permanent representative for Kuwait — thanking him for welcoming her to “be part of the family.”
The center later thanked her for addressing the congregation and touring its school facilities.
“Her visit was a meaningful recognition of the role ICCS plays in New York as a community partner serving and bringing together New Yorkers from across our diverse city and state.”
But some right-wing critics seized on the appearance.
“A self-described feminist voluntarily wearing a hijab to not offend/arouse Muslim men. Oh, the irony,” wrote swimmer and women’s sports activist Riley Gaines.
GOP Texas Congressman Brandon Gill also propped up the photo opp to accuse Dems of hypocrisy.

The story isn’t that conservatives pounced, it’s that she did it in the first place.
The Fall campaign starts soon. Republicans all across the nation need to get on the same page with a read-out of what it means to be a democrat - open borders, invasion by millions of illegal immigrants, illegal immigrant crime; show videos of Muslims in the United States calling for the rape of women and death of the nation, etc. Too many to list.
For example, to the good people of South Carolina, do you really want all this when you vote for Cooper, because that is what you will assuredly get.
Remember the stupid paddles that the Dems used during one of the State of the Union addresses to Congress. Mr. Blakeman ought to print up some with Abdulrahman Mohammad Kathy Hochul’s face in the hijab. Then ensure every appearance by her has people in the crowd with the prop.
This can be used for every race. The dhimmi Dem on one side, Hassan on the other.
She’s a Democrat, so what did anybody expect?

Muslim women don to symbolize their abject submission to Islam. To not submit 'may' result in sever repercussions from Muslim men.

Hochul’s face barely obscures the ghoul beneath it. It actually hurts to look upon her.
The guy next to Hochul is thinking: ‘These Liberal Democrats - especially females - are so stupid!’
