Professor Edmund Whitmore takes the stage to make an argument most scientists won't say out loud: that we are probably alone in the universe. Not "we haven't found anyone yet." Actually alone. The only technological civilization that exists, or has ever existed, within any distance that matters.

This is what I believe too and for the simple matter that God does not duplicate His creation. Everything single thing He has created is unique. There are no other beings created in His image. We are special to Him. There is the spiritual realm and the material realm. End of.
That’s a good argument

But hope springs eternal, except accepting a pregnancy.
I heard a UFOlogist on the radio once, and called in to join the conversation. “Yes,” I said, “I communicate with non-human intelligences every day!”
“Tell me more,” he said, fascinated.
“I’m a praying Christian,” I explained. “I talk to God every day, am surrounded by His good angels who protect me, and occasionally encounter bad angles that need to be rebuked.”
“Oh,” he said, disappointed.
We were designed to live in an inhabited universe.

I agree

I keep telling my kids this!
first, lets have a good chat about what “Distance that matters” is...
Voyager 1... launched 50 years ago. 16 Billion miles away... 24 hours at light speed away... ...and no other sign of life.
is that more or less than Distance that matters??
I would say this guy is correct in his assumptions..

You Will Never Leave This Solar System: 73,000 Years — Professor Edmund Whitmore
Welcome to The Ancient Dog. In this Fantasy Talk, AI-generated Professor Edmund Whitmore returns to make the argument nobody in the space industry wants you to sit with: you will never leave this solar system. Voyager 1 has been falling away from Earth for forty-nine years — at that speed, the nearest star is seventy-three thousand years away. The rocket equation is merciless, the human body breaks in ways we can’t fix, and the most serious attempt anyone ever made — Breakthrough Starshot, a hundred million dollars, Stephen Hawking’s name — went quietly dormant. The dream and the distance do not fit in the same room.
I don’t believe that we are alone in the universe.I have never thought was true.
I cannot offer anything that would be accepted as a proven truth, I am simply going by my personal opinion and belief.
If could be that since earth is known primarily as a Warrior Planet. most entities keep several light years of distance between us and them, give or take occasional observations of us. and how close we are to deliberate self destruction.
You’re going to be in for a surprise one day.
Just my 1 cent.
I think we are alone.
As a woman, it’s not a logical thought, just my gut feeling.
But I also think that we humans have some kind of creative spark, and I think we usually find what we are looking for.
For good, or ill.
Why would God be limited to an image that looks like us?
Why would God be limited to images we can even perceive?
Why would God feel compelled to try to explain to primitive peoples anything beyond their comprehension?

Of course, there is that intriguing statement in John 10:16. I don’t pretend to know what it means for certain.
