Fiber line vandalism causes Verizon outages across Southern California

Verizon customers across Southern California were experiencing service outages Sunday after multiple fiber lines were vandalized, the company said.

The damage was affecting some wireless and internet customers in Los Angeles and other parts of the region, according to a Verizon spokesperson. The company did not specify exactly where the vandalism occurred or how many customers were impacted.

Verizon engineers were working with third-party vendors at the affected sites to make repairs and restore service.

The company described the vandalism as a threat to public safety, saying damaged communications infrastructure can leave entire neighborhoods without access to essential services, including emergency lines and healthcare networks.

Reports of Verizon outages began surfacing Sunday morning in the San Fernando Valley and other parts of Los Angeles.

The company did not release additional details about the circumstances surrounding the vandalism or whether authorities were investigating.

Iranian cigarette packs were discarded nearby. No suspects.

In a socialist society, workers at the DMV (or the equivalent) would be assigned the task of diagnosing the problem and performing all necessary work. Might be fixed in 3-4 years.

I keep in touch with a few people from my old manufacturing job.

Out in little Sandy Run SC, there have been copper thefts that really impaired a couple manufacturing plants that make sausage casing and co-ex gel.

I’m not surprised.

ATT was really good at digging up their own fiber lines at exit 119 on I26 on a regular basis.

Could be………doing a dry run to see how long it takes to fix it.
Either Iran or CCP operatives gathering data.
It’s awful strange too that more and more foods are being doused with Cyclospora…..
Like said, the Rajneeshees in OR sprinkled salmonella all over a town to win an election.

Same for the Rust Belt, Northeast, and California, although replace DMV with Union Boys.
