Reading FR then flicking to Twitter/X is sometimes like night and day. There's a lot of dissent there among those I happen to follow (NOT Lefitsts or anything like that) regarding: Israel, Iran War, foreign policy and the Administration generally.
A lot of hot topics that get discussed here all the time and former Representatives or officials are leading the charge: MTG, Kent, Tucker Carlson and Massie the most prominent with many large accounts echoing them.
It's clear to me this is more than just a few rebels who have no influence or standing in fact MTG says in one of her latest posts: "The Movement has begun".
She is referring to 'MAGA 2.0' and a split from the Trump admin who they accuse of breaking promises of no more foreign wars and for their handling of the Epstein saga.
This has implications I think for Vance or anyone else in the administration who might want to run for president in future.
This is just an observation. I'm no troll but feel hesitant to post (or re-post) some of their stuff because it might attract complaints.
Sometimes I feel like walking on egg shells especially with foreign policy posts which I think is the main fissure in play and where some of us naturally agree with them on.
Are Twitter/X ahead of the curve or out of order?
Amen to that BroJoeK.
This thread post is fodder for the weak minded.
This "article" is nothing but caterwauling because Trump has offended a few unAmerican egos ....I mean Tucker Carlson, the joke that continuously needs to be stroked? MTG who lives by the crotch and dies by the crotch? And these idjits are going to pretend to begin a supposed MAGA 2.0 ?
BUahahahahahahahaha!
They need to dodge a few bullets like Trump has done before ANYONE but the weak minded will listen to THEM !
They are like children on the school playground who keep running to the teacher to complain that little Johnny has unfairly won their marbles away from them in a schoolyard game.Carlson, MGT et. al. LOST. They lost their game. Now they want to remake the world so they can WIN ?
BUahahahahahahahahaha!
PDJT is one of the greatest presidents our nation has ever elected. His "Republican" opposition are fleas that tried to roar but betray us all to the radical commies who think they got game too. They also do not. Its all just covfefe
But this thinking is designed to diminish Republican turnout for the mid terms in November. SORRY. Won't work. But thanks....it will INCREASE MAGA turnout.BIGGLY.
They can't touch this:
“...some of us would say war drags on and has a habit of drawing you in.”
Men do the hard things, not because they want to, but because they must. The cost is the cost.
If the hard thing, stopping Hitler early, had been done at the first or second warning probably sixty million people would not have died the way they did. But the can was kicked down the road until it exploded.
Trump owes his success on the national political scene to the tens of millions of voters who saw GWB as a retarded baboon and hoped his ilk would never set foot in the White House again.
Totally agree. Tucker and those like him are fronts for other factions. Conservatives will vote Republican because they reflect what they support. Did you ever wonder why these dissidents seem to get rich once they go down the path they are currently on?
The bill for the Iran stuff comes in September. Even worse when you think of the election and how this looks
All good points. In fact some made the point in the 1930’s. Hitler and the Nazi Party were the problem and when Nazis were ignored were got a World War. MTG and Tucker are just like Charles Lindbergh and his type . You fail to learn from history and you are doomed to repeat it.
And convincing even young conservatives that Iran is a matter of national importance is a tall order when they recognize that the biggest threats to their life and liberty are right here in the U.S.
But you and Israel have done away with most of their leadership. What’s left is an even more hardened, collective IRGC.
The enemy can prove to be resilient even in the face of ground invasion and total war. Look at Vietnam and Iraq for evidence.
Unless you favor this approach and are prepared to spend 20 years on it in the case of Iraq. It’s totally pointless in my view
The practice of creating content for attention, views, and ad revenue is often referred to as clout chasing, engagement farming, or ragebaiting.
Political creators who focus on attention and monetization take these tactics to an extreme. Because politics naturally ties into people’s core identities and morals, it is the most lucrative and explosive subject for driving engagement.
(That is why the four you named)
Yeah
“...continue to the mid-term elections a disaster.”
The mid-terms are always a disaster, people have voted for the uniparty for decades now and this is the result, a ‘free’ cookie and all that. Notice that politicians of any stripe rarely mention the $40 trillion debt we have that might bring us down before World War III does.
That’s true but FR is authentic. No AI posts from me or engagement farming, shilling etc (to what ends?).
I like the discussion here but it’s interesting how opposite it is elsewhere.
A lot of conservatives don’t even understand what the Republican Party supports anymore. Fiscal responsibility and repealing ObamaCare were written out of the GOP platform in 2024.
“Unless you favor this approach and are prepared to spend 20 years on it in the case of Iraq. It’s totally pointless in my view”
I think that the war as conducted has set up the possibility of the regime’s enemies to take down the IRCG. Whether enough has been done to facilitate this or not, only time will tell. In the meantime, Keeping the regime from reconstituting and gaining more power is the task at hand. The downside is the IRGC can make the poorer nations suffer mightily and Trump must do what he can to resolve those issues; fertilizer, energy and financial assistance, etc. These efforts will, of course, make the public angry. But it’s a whole lot better than invading a country as big as several US states and spending twenty years, thousands of American lives and billions of dollars more than the alternative. Does the American public have the patience? Probably not. The public act like children with little notice of the overall problem.
MAGA2?
Is that a real thing, or just something dreamed up to encourage division?
Twitter is filled with bots.
“MAGA2.0” is filled with anti-Semites.
MTG/Carlson/Massie- see above.
If that is the future, then God help us.
Believing that- “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Tucker: Totally compromised by mooselimb money. Supports Hunter Biden, has become crazy as a loon.
MTG: Made a fortune doing insider stock trading instead of actually being a good congress critter. Lives in Costa Rica with her ill gotten fortune, Now supports Code Pink, the View, and every leftist possible. T stands for traitor.
Massie: Followed in MTG's footsteps. Decided he would make MAGA pay for ousting him. Only lives for his boner phone. The guy is compromised, and only people fooled by his schtick listen to him.
Kent: His lies have been laid bare for all to see. Bongino has the receipts of Kents lies. Unfortunate loser trying to wangle his way into ignorant people's pocket books so he can be rich like the other three.
And you think they have "great influence" and will somehow make a better movement called Maga 2......
Why don't you fix your own horrid, damn country instead of trying to push people on us that will bring us down to your level of mooselimb dominance? Maybe you can post a thread about how compelling El Sayeed is? Maybe the four wonderkind can help him win a senate seat with their incredible influence....
Please go troll your own country.
Are you denying these conflicts have global implications?
We’re all affected one way or another.
The four picks are just the ones most prominent. More could join them and I’m sure you’ll have something to say about those as well
I suspect Twitter has a lot of bots and trolls, whereas FR is more controlled. And anyone chanting the No More War theme mindlessly is nuts: A nuclear Iran would be the end of the world as we know it. This isn’t about Israel. This is about Armageddon.
You can hide behind silly phrases like "global implications" and "We're all affected one way or another". But you can't hide your own silly predilections and trolling.
Please keep your country's failures away from all of us here. We will not submit.
