What's the view on 'MAGA 2.0'?
FR ^ | Aug 9 | RF

Reading FR then flicking to Twitter/X is sometimes like night and day. There's a lot of dissent there among those I happen to follow (NOT Lefitsts or anything like that) regarding: Israel, Iran War, foreign policy and the Administration generally.

A lot of hot topics that get discussed here all the time and former Representatives or officials are leading the charge: MTG, Kent, Tucker Carlson and Massie the most prominent with many large accounts echoing them.

It's clear to me this is more than just a few rebels who have no influence or standing in fact MTG says in one of her latest posts: "The Movement has begun".

She is referring to 'MAGA 2.0' and a split from the Trump admin who they accuse of breaking promises of no more foreign wars and for their handling of the Epstein saga.

This has implications I think for Vance or anyone else in the administration who might want to run for president in future.

This is just an observation. I'm no troll but feel hesitant to post (or re-post) some of their stuff because it might attract complaints.

Sometimes I feel like walking on egg shells especially with foreign policy posts which I think is the main fissure in play and where some of us naturally agree with them on.

Are Twitter/X ahead of the curve or out of order?

Trump has turned into Bush.

MAGA 2.0 is what Trump promised but failed to deliver.

It’s a minority view here I would suggest.

Plenty ridicule them: “They couldn’t win their district” but I think that’s unfair.

The trend is worth noting

I think Trump’s aspirations ran into global reality. Iran had been just a minor thorn in the global thumb, but it was about to turn into another North Korea. Whereas North Korea is out of the way and can be shelved and largely ignored, Iran is in the center of the artery controlling Western economies. Further, Iran wants the entire world to burn so The Mahdi can finally return, kill us all and someone lead to paradise and Islam (submission) for everyone. Although, who “everyone” is after the world dies in fire isn’t clear. In any case, continuing all by ourselves in our own little world wasn’t really an option. That’s why we don’t have MAGA 2.0.

MAGA is Trump

Trump is MAGA

Y'all are not.

Y'all are bullshiters howling at the moon over lunatic nonsense.

Take your nonsense and shove it where the sun don't shine.

I’m trying to be neutral in the post. I dont have any malice for DT or the Admin. and wish them well but not on foreign policy.

I think it’s a giant mistake what they’re doing and to have it to continue to the mid-term elections a disaster.

You get a front row seat on that as George Carlin used to say

The four you named it the top of your list are all tools. Thanks for proving your own assertion wrong by highlighting them.

And what of those joining them? Many patriotic accounts are echoing it on that platform.

More will join them. They can’t all be tools. That’s a broad brush.

Actually you are a troll. That is why the four you named are on every clear thinking person’s shitlist.

I’ve given you names and you dismiss them all. That’s too convenient.

Look at their twitter/X feeds for evidence

I think the US put off dealing with a critical problem for almost fifty years and that problem was about to metastasize into a fatal issue. Like having a baby, there’s never a good time. You can plan all you like, but it happens when it happens whether you want it to or not. Everything else, including midterms, has to be set aside while the critical issue at hand is dealt with. We’re lucky we had someone in the controller’s chair who was willing to deal with the issue rather than kick it down the road for later. We’ve already proven, there is no “later.”

“This has implications for Vance...”

Bull. Do you any idea how Trump and Vance poll in MAGA? Do you even know who Harry Enten is?

It’s just my theory that one. I did say “I think”. We will see on that. Many are disappointed with JD from my reading of their posts.

Looks like the ‘28 primaries will be spirited

MTG says in one of her latest posts: “The Movement has begun”
**********************************************

Gee, I hope that movement is not explosive! Maybe you, MTG and Tucker should be careful of what lettuce you’re consuming. Just sayin’.

M5G and Massie just got their MAGA polls. Cucker Qatarlson and Taqiyya Carlson are the most common referrants for Tucker. Kent was proved to be all BS by Bongino and others who were in the same meetings he lied about. I didn’t dismissed them - tbey dismissed tbeir credibility for clicks.

It really isn’t. I’m trying to be neutral and it’s an observation. Maybe Twitter/X are ahead of the curve or just completely wrong

There are millions of people reading their posts and interacting with them.

As far as I can tell, coming from that crowd, MAGA 2.0 = MAGA 1.0 minus “all that jew-loving stuff”.

Even if your foreign policy approach is innocently isolationist, that doesn’t make for good foreign policy. The Neville Chamberlain approach didn’t work out quite so well.

That being said, I also think Trump is playing too much footsie w/Iran. This not being “done” by the midterms will definitely hurt repubs.

We could’ve shut that country down long ago by focusing on their grid and all we’d be doing now is monitoring humanitarian aid.
