A federal judge granted Carmine Agnello, the grandson of late mob boss John Gotti, a delay in his self-surrender date, with caveats to allow him to donate a kidney to his mother, Victoria Gotti.
In a ruling issued Thursday, the judge said Agnello can postpone his surrender to prison until Sept. 18 if the transplant takes place on or before his original Aug. 10 surrender date.
If the procedure does not occur by then, however, Agnello must report to prison on Monday as previously ordered, according to court records.
The judge also directed Agnello to notify the court once the transplant has been completed.
He was sentenced to 15 months in prison after admitting to stealing more than $1 million in pandemic relief funds.

Just a million? What a piker!
The Minnesota democRATs / Somalians are laughing at him!
15 months! Gee, judge why so tough?🙄
Victoria Gotti didn’t take her husband’s name (Agnello) when she married? She also divorced him when he was in jail on the basis of “constructive abandonment”. I didn’t think mafia wives did either of those things.
Steal $200 million, they five you honorary degrees and cocktail parties on a beach under a tent.
(Give, not five) sorry.
I would think that when you get to be a high enough level (like John Gotti), the daughter cannot easily disentangle herself from the whole thing. Trading off of the notoriety is imprudent and is in poor taste. It helped near John Gotti nor the fictional Joey Zaza.
Poor Joey Zaza. He couldnt be in godfather 1 or 2. He had to be in the worst godfather film.
83+ thousand per month... Where do I sign up for that job?
To me, the headline makes it sound like the judge is sending him to prison if he doesn't donate a kidney. 'Donate the kidney or report to prison'
"Gotti grandson has until Monday to donate kidney to mother or report to prison"
