JD Vance installs custom chicken coop at Naval Observatory and will personally care for birds

A custom, American-made chicken coop has been installed at the historic Naval Observatory, the official residence of Vice President JD Vance.

To respect the heritage of the site, the coop was designed to match the architectural elements of the historic facility, a spokesperson for the vice president told Fox News Digital.

A source familiar with the project noted the coop was built at no cost to American taxpayers.

The coop was crafted by Carolina Coops, an American-owned, family-operated small business that has spent the last 18 years handcrafting premium chicken coops in the U.S.

Founded in 2008 by Matt and Gnon DuBoise, the company began as a personal quest for fresh eggs and grew into a globally recognized business known for its craftsmanship, woodworking and animal care.

POTUS does not need to direct him...
the Constitution has already given him that authority...

That’s my point ... if he’s NOT doing it, can he be directed to do so by his CIC?

Brings back memories,,,we used to have about a dozen chickens,,including a rooster,

Tried turkeys....eggs a a quarter pound,,,usually about 3 a week,

One time one of the turkeys escaped....seems she went to hang out with the wild ones,,,in our neighborhood were brown.

Sure enough,,,our turkey returned home after about a month ...and there were some brown and white mixed in with the wild ones,

Goats are fun animals we had a few...spare goats were "re-located" to the freezer...and I had matching sets of pelts for sale as seat covers.

That's very nice.....
How about he does his CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED JOB and preside over the senate...

Under Article I, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, the Vice President is designated as the President of the Senate, but in modern legislative practice, they rarely preside over routine daily floor debates.

The Vice President's primary constitutional function in the chamber is to cast tie-breaking votes when the Senate is equally divided (50–50) or to preside during major ceremonial events, such as joint sessions of Congress or electoral vote counting. Day-to-day presiding duties are delegated to the Senate President pro tempore or rotated among junior senators from the majority party to gain parliamentary experience.

Since the mid-20th century, the role of the Vice President has shifted almost entirely into the executive branch, focusing on policy leadership, diplomatic missions, and executive administration alongside personal and family life.

It would seem that you do not approve of the job that JD Vance is doing. Most typically this is an indication not of how of how people feel about the VP, but about how they feel about President Trump. Are you a closet Never-Trumper?

Do you have any activities in your life that are not directly related to your current means of supporting yourself like raising children, fixing up your home, boating, exercising, or other recreational activities? If so, I think you should observe the old proverb... Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Don’t chickens sort of die easily if conditions aren’t just right? That could be an issue for young person I would think. Have to learn about death eventually I guess.

the chickens are slaves

Slave eggs produced in Washington DC. Travesty.

Slave chickens must be free!

It just grew into a global company! LOL. Reminds me of the documentaries about iconic musicians who simply got a cheap guitar when they were 13 and then a record deal and presto! they’re a major super star with 12 Grammys and 20 top 10 hit songs. So just get a guitar or a chicken coop and you’ll be bajillionaire!

Did the LefTards ever get their knickers in a twist over these pets living at the actual White House?

*Calvin Coolidge had a diverse collection of pets, including a bobcat and lion cubs, alongside Rebecca the raccoon.

*Woodrow Wilson’s sheep not only served a practical purpose but also became a charming aspect of life at the White House.

*Theodore Roosevelt’s menagerie was particularly famous, showcasing his family’s adventurous spirit and love for animals.

These examples illustrate that the White House has been home to a variety of unusual animals, contributing to its rich history.

But they all went away to college and became liberals!

While they are successful in their careers and marriages, university poisoned and indoctrinated them.

Good. Let him care for the chickens and let a non-politican be president who will downsize the mostly unconstitutional gov’t.

Several decades ago, I made the mistake of letting my daughters give Christian names to our Brown Swiss dairy bull calves.

It didn't end well.
