Tony Romo reportedly was arrested for driving under the influence Thursday night in Milwaukee County, The Post has confirmed.
Per the arrest-detention report, Romo was stopped on the road around 8 p.m. while driving southbound on I-43 and failed to pass standard field sobriety tests.
Then the former Cowboys quarterback and member of CBS’ NFL broadcast team was taken into custody for OWI book and release.
It’s not yet known what type of vehicle Romo was driving.
Per the report, he was given a court date of Sept. 21.
The police said that the statement remains “under investigation” and a further statement could come later on Friday.
The incident occurred close to Burlington, where Romo grew up and graduated from Burlington High School.
He was the first student athlete at the school to be named all-state in three sports — football, basketball and golf.
The Burlington Area School District later named a field after Romo in February 2020.
Romo was seemingly back in the area for the Wisconsin State Amateur.
“I’m competitive in both, I’m just better at football,” he said on the links to TMJ4 News on Thursday. “It’s the challenge of it. It’s as tough as your gonna play.”
Romo finished 35-over at the tournament — 32 shots behind the winner.

Good. Fire his hoarsy ass and hire Greg Olsen.
Where was Tiger?

Reminiscent of this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Shoemaker#Training_career_and_automobile_crash
He looks like he was drunk.
Other than the Packers playoff game, what did he blow?
Not what, who?
I have always distrusted this cowgirl.

What is his jail name? Homo Romo?
First Sanchez, now Romo.
At least Romo is a happy drunk who never hurt nobody, (hic)
You have to be kidding. Greg Olsen is barely passable.
Seems like Sanchez did a lot worse.
Tony, you made three mistakes.
#1 You got drunk (publicly)
#2 You drove drunk. (Can’t afford a driver?)
#3 You took a field sobriety test you knew you couldn’t pass.
Is that the same retired footballer who drunkenly beat up a 65 y/o man for no reason earlier this year?
That old guy was put in the hospital wearing a neck brace.
No, Mark Sanchez was the one who did that.
Fortunately for him he has an inarguable reason for drinking too much:
Former quarterback for the Cowboys.
