Lying is such an ugly word. I’m sure Trump meant what he said when he said it. And meant quite the opposite the very next day when he said the opposite.
I think the US is decades behind in military grade weapons and technology. Just look at how we sent the USS Gerald R. Ford in action back in March as an example. It failed miserably.
And how Iran with no military at all (per Trump) is still able to control the Strait of Hormuz.
Hawks and neocons here at FR keep yelling how Trump needs to bomb Iran back to the Stone Age.

“Nearly 100 US service members have suffered some level of injury” How many service members have suffered injuries or death during military exercises at all of our military bases? How many Police officers suffer or die when doing their jobs? Fire departments? Victims from criminals EACH day?

We once had a President Harry Truman who had a sign on his desk that said “the buck stops here”. Truman took ownership of his unpopular decisions, including being the only US president to approve the use of nuclear weapons against a civilian population. Donald Trump in contrast constantly praises himself, derides those who disagree with him and denies accountability for his own poor decisions.
It was Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran without following the Constitution’s requirement that only Congress can declare war. He is the Commander in Chief in his role as President so the conduct of the war, declared properly or not, is 100% his responsibility. He claimed publicly multiple times Iran has been defeated, yet we know it is not.
The Vietnam, Afghanistan and Ukraine wars have proven a much weaker nation with determination can outlast a much stronger power for years, and in the case of both Vietnam and Afghanistan more than a decade, before the “superior” military power withdraws. Iran today seems to be following the Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Ukraine playbooks, an outcome Mr. Trump doesn’t appear to haven considered before making his unilateral decision to go to war.
So the president who ran on a platform of no more forever wars is in the middle of one as a consequence of the decision he made. . The man who said the Iran War he started would be over in weeks is now months into the war, the world petroleum supply chain is in shambles, the world economy is teetering on the brink of collapse, the US strategic petroleum reserve and US military stockpiles are severely depleted, and by his own words Mr. Trump seems ready to blame his Vice President for the failure of his own poor decisions.
If Donald Trump expects the respect and the support of the American people he needs to man up and speak the obvious truth that this war will take considerable time and investment to win. In addition he needs to tell the American people why he is prosecuting the war and consequence of not winning this conflict.
Too many American’s remember our country engaging in a war in Vietnam, that killed over 50,000 American soldiers. The rationale for that war was to prevent Vietnam from being united under communist control. The claim at the time was if South Vietnam fell to the communist North, all of Southeast Asia, and possibly Australia, would be conquered by Communists. In reality, the United States withdrew from the war without victory, Vietnam became a communist country. The rest of Southeast Asia did not fall to communism, and today communist Vietnam is a strong trading partner with the United States. Over 50,000 Americans killed and 200,000 Americans wounded for no valid reason.
The people of the United States do not support the war with Iran. What support the president’s war policies have is eroding every day Iran survives and continues to fight back. The negative economic consequences of the war are just beginning to be felt domestically and will be hurting many American households when voters go to the polls in the fall. Trump has only a few weeks to make an effective case for the coming hardship people will be facing when they go to the polls. Blaming JD Vance isn’t going to be accepted as an excuse for failure by rational voters.
If we didnt have the ammunition doesnt that say we are in deep doo doo, imagine if China attacked the US, and we dont have the ammo necessary to protect ourselves we would be screwed

Maybe or maybe not.
I don’t have a clue to the amount of reserve munitions we have or our ability to replace used munitions in the supply chain. I just find the lull in our firepower campaign, with a quick attempt at diplomacy a “bit fishy.”
As far as China is concerned. I highly doubt they’re stupid enough to attack us directly, but they do covet Taiwan.
If they make that gamble, which isn’t a done deal, it would most likely take place during a democrat administration.
Hamas was always a Sunni affiliated group. Iran was never one of their main external state sponsors. In fact, Hamas was secretly supported by the Israeli government itself for years.
All these lousy polls coming out. Like they want us to believe they have a crystal ball that can tell the pulse on the MAGA supporters. we can’t hate these medias enough. shun them all and think for yourselves.
I think the plan is for the US to start a massive bombing campaign against Iran, and after a few weeks, let Israel finish it. When it comes to targeted assassinations, Israel is top dog, so we start it, Israel finishes it, and whatever happens happens..we cant continue to keep bombing for 6 weeks, stop, regroup, and try again, we bomb them and let Israel finish the job and thats it
