On Morning Joe's June 18th episode, Scarborough railed that the Memorandum of Understanding leaves the Iranian regime "more powerful than they've ever been."
But on Wednesday's Scarborough chat-a-thon, Kim Ghattas, a contributing editor at the Financial Times, acknowledged that while Iran may appear to hold the upper hand with actions like threatening the Strait of Hormuz and inflicting casualties, the reality on the ground tells a different story.
“It's very interesting to hear Richard speak about Israeli overreach and American overreach. Because I also think the Iranians are overreaching at this moment in the conflict . . . They also feel quite stuck,” Ghattas said, reading the tea leaves from Iranian officials including Foreign Minister Araghchi. “It sounds like, from listening to these interviews, the Iranian foreign minister was sounding quite demoralized, almost.”

Middle East expert who actually knows what she’s talking about.
Later in segment, Ignatius of Washington Post agrees with her!
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
If the story were about Mamdani, they would be raving about how novel, equitable, and in general awesome everything is.
ALL the people are so happy and excited about his awesome plans to create a brighter future for New Yorkers.
All the pictures chosen for publication would have is posed signature smile: https://aish.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/what-mamdani-gets-wrong-1240x698-1.jpg

Morning Joe changing opinions....
Luckily I stopped waiting with suspense for him to lead me to my political opinions. Tried thinking for myself just in time.
If you’re in any military, and the enemy took out many of your key leaders, cracked open your most hardened facilities built specifically for this threat, flys over your head when and where they want, when hiding and moving is all you can do to stay alive or protect some key weapon system, that’s demoralizing. But I suppose some people need to be told by an “expert” that this is the case.
Our MSM of course was going to question everything. They don’t like Trump. It’s that simple with them.
Obama can do no wrong, Biden was OK. But Trump can’t do right no matter what. Every thing he says will be interpreted as racist, ignorant, inappropriate and undignified. Anything he does is a failure, was done for the wrong reasons, is somehow unethical and everyone disapproves of, of course.
Whoops. Didn’t anybody vet her first to make sure she wasn’t going to do anything radical, like telling the truth?
