Sorry I thought I posted this in chat previously.

What ideas and hints do you have to make life easier and even more fun? Share the wealth?

I'll start.

Store cat food cans upside-down and it will come out easier.

Kill creepy crawlies with damp paper towel. Waggle your fingers on one side of the monster and grab it with the wet towel or tissues from the other side. It works.

Live beneath your earning. Wear good shoes, bespoke if you can afford it. Learn a musical instrument. Learn to cook one pot meals. Buy good kitchen knives and learn to sharpen them. Eat off paper plates and use disposable cutlery. If you don’t want kids, don’t get married. Have hardwood floors and get a robot vacuum. Don’t plant a lawn. Don’t get any clothing that needs ironing. Let spiders live in the corners of the house to catch mosquitos and flies, even the black widows outside get a pass as they eat the annoying loud crickets. Buy nice cordless tools with plenty of extra batteries. If you have property, get a couple goats and some chickens, they chase away the coyotes, racoons, and deer, eat the weeds and bugs, and can be left alone for weeks if you want to travel. If you haven’t used something for 6 months, get rid of it. If you want a dog, get a smaller mutt with short fur like a street dog rescue.

Im still trying the ultimate “life of Riley” scheme but I haven’t been able to convince the government I am an illegal alien Somali deserving millions of dollars to run a Learing Center.

if you want to be happy for the rest of your life,
never make a pretty woman your wife.

cause from my personal point of view, get an ugly girl to marry you.

I absolutely despise cooking and baking...every aspect of them...whoever invented the microwave should be in heaven.....

A fun one:

Most may already know that the digits of any number that is evenly divisible by 9 will add up to 9 such as: 9,18,27,36..108 etc.

However if you take ANY number that is two digits or more, add the numbers together, subtract that sum from the original number, that result will also add up to 9 when you break it down. For example:

3275

3+2+7+5 = 17

3275 - 17 = 3258

3+2+5+8 = 18

1+8 = 9

This works with ANY number that is 2 digits or more. I am sure there is a perfectly logical mathematical rationale for this that is beyond my education level, but it is pretty cool how everything seems to come back to the number 9.

May I suggest learning a musical instrument in your retirement. Your one small thing can be 20 minutes of studying. I teach music occasionally at an elderly care facility. It makes a huge difference to their well being and exercises parts of their mind that has never been used. Ukuleles are particularly popular.

I didn’t know that. Some sort of principle must be working there.

” I don’t like to kill things.”

Good for you. I even let spiders live in my house because they eat the mosquitos I can’t catch. I’ve watched those funny looking jumping spiders hunt down houseflies on the window, so they earn their free rent. The spiders don’t bother me, and I don’t bother them. Sure the webs can be unsightly but when I see the carcass of a desiccated mosquito of fly I am just fine with it. If I have to catch one if it is a nuisance I always try to catch them and throw them in the garden. They are just doing spider things, they can’t help it.

How do you think cat food comes out of cans? I use a spoon.

And I don’t get the creepy crawlies thing. Snakes? Frogs?
