Viewers may have to do a little hunting or channel-surfing if they want to watch tonight’s controversial address to the nation from President Donald Trump.
ABC and NBC will opt to stream Trump’s speech at 9 pm EST on their streaming platforms, rather than carry it live on their networks. ABC says that it will broadcast a special report when the speech concludes.
“ABC News will run President Trump’s speech on ABC News Live and ABC News Radio with comprehensive, anchored coverage,” an ABC News spokesperson says. “We will also cover the speech in our regular network newscasts and, as always, our Special Report team is fully prepared to break into network programming to deliver live updates and reporting should significant developments occur.”
Spokespeople for CBS News and Fox News had not responded to a request for comment, as of this writing.

I haven’t listened to the radio for many years because it’s basically endless commercials with occasional breaks for music or talking.

How is that “operating in the public interest”? Shouldn’t the FCC revoke their broadcast licenses?
Those boxes of ballots under the tables in Georgia that had only Biden’s name on them, or those boxes in Detroit (IIRC) that arrived under cover at night by truck had to come from somewhere. But China??? And what about hacks of Dominion voting machines. Tucker Carlson was fired from Fox after exposing this and following Dominion suing. The fix was in one way or another with or without China’s help.
The Democrat media hated Nixon, but they would broadcast his speeches then follow up with a denunciatory analysis.
But back then, the Democrats thought they could win people over.

Yup. Definitely a well coordinated effort with many players involved. There were many Republicans also who didn’t want Trump back in office knowing full well he would expose decades of uni-party corruption.

The inability of so many conservatives to understand a basic fact that networks do not have licenses that are subject to the FCC never ceases to amaze me. Some of the networks have corporately owned individual broadcast stations that are each individually licensed by the FCC but there is no such license for the networks. This is constantly pointed out in this forum by many different posters yet this “take their license” cry abounds through the comments every time.
Come on, conservatives - we’re supposed to be the better informed portion of the body politic. Live up to the image!

they were complicit and accessories to this all- of course they won’t show it....
You are being pedantic, yes local stations hold the broadcast license but the FCC still regulates the national networks to ensure they operate in the public interest.
The refrain pull the license is more a generic cry to hold them accountable to the public interest.
But I suspect your point was more to misdirect the conversation anyway instead of address the issue the networks are operating outside the public intererst.
They have “o&os” in NYC, LA, and Chicago- and a number of other large cities that operate under FCC rules
The term controversial is ONLY used when referring to Republicans speaking... the press sucks.
