Yesterday, using multiple one-way attack surface drones, CENTCOM forces successfully struck a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran. Three Corsair unmanned surface vessels hit the port at Bandar Abbas Naval Base, marking the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations. Last night’s strikes degraded Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial shipping.

They have plenty of missiles cached in the hundreds of subterranean bases scattered throughout the 350,000 square miles of Iran’s mountain terrain.

The entire state of Texas, by the way, is only 269,000 square miles.

Until the mullahs and ayatollahs are dead, I'm not interested in these newsoids factoids tidbits.

one-way attack

What are the other ways? Do some come back, looking for a refill?

Two subs of two different wars, lost from combat within the last 8 months.

Do some come back, looking for a refill?

The old MQ-1 Predator exemplifies "drones" that are designed to carry out some sort of attack then return to base.

A cruise missile is a "one way attack drone".

Are those two strikes against the same dock? If so, I don’t see damage on either when they strike separately. Anyone else see that. Not questioning that it happened or not, but something does not look right.

Missiles aren’t much good without launchers or personnel.

Same dock three strikes. First drone boat hits the right dock (below sub), the second hits the left, then the the third hits the right dock again in the same area as first drone.

I agree, they don’t seem to have done dramatic damage to the infrastructure - the pier and crane seem to have survived the first two strikes. We don’t see what it looks like after the third strike. You can’t see the sub, it may have been destroyed.

Love these Saronic Drone ships, but I think they may need to be carrying a bigger explosive.

Maybe those smart little drones will keep going tomorrow night, every night until all those ships are sunk

There is no evidence that the attacks were stopped.

There must be damage assessment to determine if the attacks were adequately successful.

Meanwhile, at home, I was able to direct Roomba to go to the small area at the office doorway for cleaning. Roomba took the task and exerted maximum effort to vacuum an area approximately 2’ x 2’

When THEY use them they are called “suicide drones”. When WE use them they are called “one-way drones”.

I was told a month or so ago that Iran’s navy was at the bottom of the sea. Why would we be targeting things that were already at the bottom?

Waterborne drones were an inefficient choice for this target. This was a statement attack more than anything. It proved the concept and sent a message.

This message was for China.
