The J-35A’s journey began with the FC-31 Gyrfalcon, a stealth aircraft prototype that first flew on October 31, 2012. Initially developed as a privately funded venture by SAC, the FC-31 aimed to attract potential export customers.
However, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), especially the PLA Navy, soon took an interest in the project. This led to further development and modifications, resulting in the J-35A, which officially debuted ahead of the 2024 China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition.
The J-35A is the second Chinese fifth-generation fighter, following the Chengdu J-20. This makes China the only country other than the United States to field two types of stealth fighters.
The aircraft has undergone significant redesigns to improve its capabilities, including the addition of a catapult launch bar and folding wings for carrier operations.
However, this fighter has a problem no one saw coming: it keeps getting compared to the best fighters on Earth, like the F-35. Can it compete at that level?

China has to stick with more conventional alloys and fuels.
Time for them to steal more technology.
This article looks like AI-generated trash.
The ChiCom spies, like Mitch’s wife, have stolen much of our F-35 technology even the “35”.
1945 is a bogus military site of no value

The article ends up saying nothing.
Their equivalent was obviously flawed when they showed it off at an air show.
The Facebook reel I provided explains the basic deficiency.
Admittedly, in a year, they may have closed some of the deficiency.
I only came across it last night.
Does it ever end??? /s
OK
Looks like a Chinese clone of an F22 we launched 30 years ago. Wonder what we have in development now.
I think it’s eye opening in itself that the F-35’s need a fuel that can go 3500F, or whatever it was, and the US has an alloy that can stand that heat for the far longer flight time than the Chinese clone that can cannot reach that performance and needs more maintenance for every hour of flight than the F-35.
Is this supposed to be ironic?
The F-35 is it’s always updating software and that’s the one thing the Chinese can’t steal ,LOL
.
Coatings and shapes add in to it as well. Stealth aircraft are not invisible. They are low observable. They need to be accompanied by EW aircraft to have the highest chance of survival.
(1) they are indeed hard to pick up on RADAR and IR sensor platforms.
(2) when you degrade sensor platforms via EW, you have the total package.
(3) when you add in anti-radiation munitions ...
We win.
Ha. It’s the plagiarism site, 1945, again.
