A 29-year-old Democratic Socialist ousted a longtime Democrat incumbent in Colorado's 1st District in Tuesday night's House primary.
Far-left candidate Melat Kiros defeated 15-time incumbent Democrat Rep. Diana DeGette on Tuesday night.
Kiros, who was born in Ethiopia, was backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

Looks like Republicans aren’t the only ones who get complacent during non-presidential election years or in primaries. The lack of turnout is what enables these radicals to be elevated. The NYC mayoral election (which is an ‘off-year’ election) typically only gets about a 20% turnout. The primaries get even less. We all need to wake up. I am guessing the incumbent dem will run as an “independent” in the general in hopes of getting out the “moderate democrat” voters who didn’t bother to vote in the primary.

There is no space-none-between the likes of Melat Kiros, Bernie Sanders, AOC, Claire Valdez, Darializa Avila Chevalier (and scores of others who now feel emboldened to come out into the open) and the likes of Stalin, Beria, Lenin, Putin (his spots have never changed) Brezhnev, Andropov, and millions of nameless others who kept the population of their country under their tyrannical thumb.
No difference at all.
