Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton avoided directly answering whether she supported Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner when asked on Monday.
“I feel about him the way I feel about any candidate,” Clinton said at 92NY. “I want to see what kind of candidate he actually turns out to be.”
During her answer, she also appeared to downplay Platner’s ongoing scandals as “bumps on the road” for his character.
“The bumps on the road that he has experienced and some of the things he has said…” Clinton said.
“Bumps on the road?” The New Yorker editor David Remnick asked skeptically.
“Yeah, clearly bumps on the road in terms of his prior behavior, some of his prior statements. And I will tell you, I served with [Maine Sen.] Susan Collins, she is going to be very hard to beat. It’s going to be a tough election. So I’m reserving,” Clinton said.
“But if you were a Mainer, where would you pull the lever?” Remnick asked.
“I’m not a Mainer. I’m a New Yorker,” Clinton joked.

After downplaying what her own husband did, this is no surprise to me.
Captain obvious side note....I’ll always believe the clinton marriage was nothing more than a business contract for purposes of the appearance of normality to be more palatable to voters.....the obamas as well for that matter.
Hillary wasn’t angry Bill cheated on her, she was angry because it caused major problems for her future political aspirations.
I’m certain she was aware of his sexual escapades and could not have cared less until he got caught.

When you know you should be in prison Platner’s issues are only bumps on the road.
That mine pretty much sums it up...they’re useless basstids that at some point are gonna have to be dealt with.
Yeah, compared to the stuff her and Bill have either done, or likely done, Platner is small potatoes.
Besides rejecting her when she was a candidate, we rejected Hillary Care when Bubba was in office.

Not according to Jennifer Lopez. JLo claims that only people born in NYC are "true" New Yorkers. I don't necessarily disagree with her, but this should be applied at the national level as well.

We GOPers and related Conservatives have an excellent idea what kind of candidate is Mister Platner. It's a matter of listening to him and reading what he's said (several times over). As evil as is Mrs. Clinton, she's not at all stupid. She knows what every news consumer knows.
(And it takes very little to make her "deplorable" list, n'est ce pas?
