In “Communion,” Vance weaves his faith journey, beginning in his childhood, through his recent life changes and with his own policy and cultural views...
His account of his faith journey, at times, seems to focus on his return to Christianity more broadly, with Catholicism presented as the variety he chose.
“I’m not a particularly sectarian person, and this is not a particularly sectarian book,” Vance said in the book’s opening chapter. Although he said he became Catholic for “what I believe are good reasons,” he credited his Protestant spiritual foundation as a key factor in his journey back to God...

A writer friend also said to write like you speak.
You're not kidding. The bitterness, cynicism, and nasty remarks that some call "being realistic" does wear a body down. It's totally unnecessary.
Perhaps that can be the title of your book once you reach the level of accomplishments Vance has.
Thanks for proving the point. Touch grass and watch a funny animal video, it helps.
One question. Is he tough enough to be President?
I think Rubio has what it takes.

I guess we’ll find out.
Voting for Vance over Rubio or Desantis in 2028 is an easy political decision for me.
Well I’ll be on pins and needles waiting for the next installment. 😏
Don’t hold your breath. These kind never do.
“…Vance did not convert to Opus Dei. No one does. He converted to Roman Catholicism under the guidance of a member of a Dominican order who happened to have strong Opus Dei ties and leanings.”

Opus Dei is intensely stratified, it is easy to see how a man from a poor or struggling dysfunctional family who gets through Yale Law School might be drawn to the (Opus Dei) cult, due to its focus on prosperity….”

I saw a headline that said Sen. Kennedy (Louisiana) is considering a run. I like all three (Vance, Rudio, and Kennedy) so it would take careful consideration for me to pick.
My criteria, who’s already done it? He is the Governor of Florida.
Agree
Vance converted to Catholicism in 2019 to find intellectual depth,
and a structured moral framework to counter modern secularism.
Raised in a loosely Protestant environment then identifying as an atheist, he was heavily drawn to Catholic social teachings and the writings of Saint Augustine, which showed him that Christian faith could be deeply intellectual.
His core reason for converting was Intellectual Rigor: He found
answers to his questions about faith in the writings of Saint Augustine.
This profound reflection comes from the opening of his spiritual autobiography,
“Confessions,” capturing the core of his theological and philosophical views on the
human search for meaning.-—ascensionpress.com
